I have fallen in love with the pictures of Zion..it seems so beautiful to be there in real life, which i wish to do so soon. So i was wondering when are the best times to visit the park. Such as avoiding large crowds and bad weather.

I've been there once, about 3 years ago. It was so beautiful and quiet. I can't remember what month I went, but it was either June or July, and I don't remembering it being over whelmingly hot. There wasn't alot of people there, of course you'd see people along the trails every so often, but it's not crowded at all.

That sounds good...so im thinking ill visit in June... The summers here in MO dont get to exciting until July. The rivers are still deep and cold in June, so I wont be missing out on much! So when you went, did you camp there? If you did, what were the campgrounds like? And if you have pics, i would love to see them!

I'm at the best western just outside of zion right now. It is amazing. Oct. Seems to be a great time to come here. Also if you come also go to Bryce Canyon Nat'l Park. It is amazing--they have some great hiking

Zion is amazing!!! I fell in love with it. there are soo many types of different scenery. the hiking is great. if it isnt terribly cold i reccomend hiking "the narrows" or angels landing,. unless you hike there is little to do though ( i think)

Thats what i like about zion, all the scenery. I saw a bunch of pictures, and I saw a show on it on the Travel channel and it seemed amazing. But i think seeing in real live would be very different than the pics. Well i love hiking, so i dont think that would be a problem.

i live in utah, and the nat. parks pretty much are the only things for visitors(unless you wanna see mormon monuments/history)
