    Hello all,

I recently adopted a 4.5 year old male cat (Franklin) from the Humane Society. He is very sweet, affectionate, a great cat.
The problem we have with him is his need to sit outside, scratch and meow at night outside our doors.
We just don't want him sleeping on the bed ( I get too allergic with him near my face, and stepping all over me wakes me up)

How can we get him to stay downstairs, or at least stop scratching at the doors?

Advice would be much appreciated, thanks.

hmm... thats tough i suggest maybe giving him a kitty cat bed or something so that maybe he will start to sleep in there and stop bothering you or... get another cat to keep him company..

try treeting him during the day if you go in to another room and shut the door
if he's quiet open the door nd treet him
    he#ll soon learn
leving some toys lying round for him to play with at night as a distraction
    could work
    good luck
    :D
