The reason this has happened is that parties need money to pay for media coverage, as well as to get on the ballot in every state. A third party has not won because of this, it was not always the Democrats and the Republicans, there used to be other groups, and ther have always been third parties, but the third parties have always been weak. The greens did not back Nader this year, I am unsure why.

Watch the movie Bulworth, it contains some good ideas, and its Warren Beaty and Halle Berry. haha.

These two threads have touched this issue.

Like the person above said, the media wants nothing to do with the third-parties. Since most (not all) Americans are BRAINDEAD IDIOTS, who depend on the mainstream media as their primary source of information (or rather, disinformation), what they see and what they hear is all they know.

Besides, there is an agenda to keep America divided via phony right-wing/left-wing politics. As long as they can keep people divided over empty, superficial politics, they can conduct their evil while you are all arguing like a bunch of morons over whose bogus party is better, as if there is any real difference between the two.

I agree. It would be nice if evertbody who didn't like Bush or Kerry would just donate money to the party they like. If enough people truly agree that the Republcans and Democrats are both full of shit and only support half the shit they believe in, then they might just have a chance.

Yea thats true, unfortunatly I think that most of the people who belive in Nader and such are poor or middle class, cause when people get alot of money where they can donate large amounts to a candidate, they tend to go with the bigger parties who protect the rich. I sent the 20 dollars I could spare to Nader in 2000 when I was in college, but at the polls I could not vote for him, because he wasnt on the ballot in some key states again, and we were not able to get him into the debates.
