Hello! I made a post about the wild BC monkeys about 10 months ago but I thought I would post it again for the new members. A few years ago some friends from a big city in Ontario visited us. We were sitting on the deck on night and heard a pair of weasels calling each other - the guests asked me what it was and I told them it was the wild monkeys that live by the pond. I told them that we always feed them and we were trying to catch one to make a pet of it. They didn't believe me and asked if they could go see the monkeys and I told them that it would be dangerous in the evening because there was a big male monkey that was quite aggressive and I would show them in the morning. In the morning I went to the pond and hung some banana peels on tree branches then went back to get my guests. Before we went to the pond I grabbed my bear bangger and told them it was just in case the male monkey got aggressive. When we got to the pond they started noticing the banana peals then we heard the weasels - I said that's the big male - he sounds mad and he is coming our way. I took out my bear bangger - raised it over my head and pretended that it had missed fired. Then I said - man its not working and the monkey is almost here - quick every body pick up rocks and bang them together because wild monkeys hate the sound. They all picked up rocks and banged them together like crazy after a few minutes I told them that it was safe but the monkeys won't come out now so I will take some pictures and e-mail them to them when they go back to Ontario. I e-mailed them and kept making excuses why there was no photos of the monkeys. Eventually I e-mailed them in the fall and told them that they would have to wait until spring for the photos because the wild monkeys migrated south for the winter. I live on a Island so they then knew I was goofing around. Cheers!
haha good one but if i were you i would have googled some monkey pics and sent them to the people make em really think, but then I'm evil like that lol
