no one really knows, so i wouldn't risk it. but i doubt doing it once or twice would have any noticeable effects to the baby, and might help your wife through her stressful time

i would definitely not feel comfortable exposing a developing human fetus to THC and the several other psychoactive chemicals included in the cannabis plant.

not out of fear of growing small penises--that's nonsense most likely--but out of concern for the baby's neurological and endocrinological development. any negative effects may not even be seen until the child's brain completes development (late teens/early twenties).

so, like others have said, it's not really worth the risk. nor is it fair to the child to start its life saturated with THC....

    peace and good luck.

That's not what I was claiming. I was just pointing out that a few key points in the article are easily falsified.

well not to worry. she has decided to not smoke. She and I agreed it's not worth the risk. She is content with letting me smoke, and will wait until after birth. She won't be breast feeding as she couldn't with the first either. So she can smoke almost as soon as she comes home (though very unlikely as we will both be focused on the new arrival). Thanks for all the opinions.

i don't know if you were joking or not. but do not under any circumstances take LSD while you are pregnant! LSD can cause uterine contractions, can induce labor, and result in a stillbirth.

    as for MJ.
everything you do has an effect.
i've heard that THC doesn't pass on to the baby through the placenta. but there is more in pot than just THC. everything you do/eat has some sort of effect.
the safest option is not to smoke, i think it's the smartest one (pot isn't hard to give up for a short time), however, there probably won't be as pronounced effects as say, alcohol, crack, or LSD.
