Does anyone know how I could learn a lil more about Buddhism w/o stairing at my computer all day long. Is there any certain books, that describe Buddhism in a short and sweet kind of method.

I like books by Lama Surya Das. He is a great writer and good at explaining Buddhism to beginners.

    Peace and love

Try Thich Nhat Hanh - he has a very simple and uplifting way of teaching without getting too technical or convoluted.

I wasn't saying that at all. I found Thay's works to be both an excellent introduction and a great guide to practice. I never said other teachers are inferior, especially not the ones anyone else recommended, since I either haven't read them or, as in the case of Surya Das, know and love them.

Also Thay's is a different school of Buddhism than any of the ones recommended and a fresh perspective.
No need to get so defensive.
