ok HOW long has Phish been out? years?

If you haven't found a band to LISTEN TO, then are you really trying?
look on the many suggestion threads, or the weekly discoveries.

and SCI just hung up the bus keys indefinitely.

if I were to hop on the road and tour with any band right now, it'd definitely be Yonder. As of now, I'm more than content living in my circle and catching the shows that pass through my town, a greater variety of musicians and fans that way.

Phish could be gone for 10 more years...and there won't be a better band than phish. i've seen other shows...good fun....not Phish. Phish is epic. the Dead was my first band that i fell in love with. but even they can't reach the points that Phish does for me. Phish nails it....trey's guitar, mikes bass, page's keys and fishmans mad beats! it just doesn't get better.

Pls. Phish compared to the Grateful Dead or do you mean The Dead as in the new era?

    The Grateful Dead Jerry Garcia
    Bob Weir
    Phil Lesh
    Bill Kreutzmann
    Ron "Pigpen" McKernan
    Mickey Hart
    Tom Constanten
    Keith Godchaux
    Donna Godchaux
    Brent Mydland
    Vince Welnick

Just pick a line up and to compare them with Phish. I'm sorry I just do not see it and I'm a fan of Phish to a degree!

we are getting off topic: so, of bands who are touring, who has a convenient logical tour pattern, something of a scene and is interesting enough to see night in and night out?
I like the Yonder idea, great guys, I'd LOVE to go on Kannal tour www.kannal.org
or the (rat) Doggie when Mark is better.
Lowen and Navarro, because their time is so limited (one has a fatal disease).
Garaj Mahal/ Fareed Haque group perhaps.

But like The Show, I'm lucky and get everyone through here. I'm 15 minutes from Red Rocks and I work for the folk venue in Denver.

Im REALLY digging STS9 (Sound Tribe Sector 9) right now. One thing about touring with them is that their setlists don't vary as much as I'd like them to from night to night compared to other "jambands". Every other aspect about them though is amazing. It all depends on what you like too - I would also recomend Perpetual Groove, theyre kindof similar to phish and theyre also amazing - Brock Butler the lead singer guitarist is one hell of a musician. Im lucky though to live 30 minutes away from NYC. Every band travles right by me at some point. I just saw STS9 two weekends ago, this saturday im seeing Yonder, next weekend both Umphreys and Marco Benevento with reed mathis and adrew barrr, Perptual Groove the weekend after that, then Phil lesh in another week - I dont need to tour, all the bands come to me!

    ^^ he said FOR HIM.

plus every Phishhead has to believe that their band is the end all be all...look at recent threads here.

god forbid we go out and catch the groove with a different band....
or tour because we started liking a group that needs the support....
