Currently i eat lots of eggs, and milk too. i feel bad about where this comes from. are there any decent alternatives? Soya milk or rice milk? I dont eat meat btw thanks
rice milk is yummy. its texture is more akin to milk than soymilk's is. if you like scrambled eggs make a tofu scramble (just find a good recipe b/c tofu has no taste on it's own.)
I guess it's ok as long as you don't eat any meat... There are plenty of types of vegetarians. And as long as no animal gets killed... Just my thoughts on this, don't want to influence in any way your decision.
kizen - personally, I think the best cow's milk alternative is almond milk. Rice milk is pretty thin to me, but its in second place. I'm not a big fan of soymilk. Any natural grocery store should have different kinds and flavors. There's hemp milk out there too, I've yet to try it though. I'm not sure about the eggs, but i've had meals that use tofu in place of eggs. Bananas can be used sometimes in place of eggs for baking things. I got lucky and have a friend that has a small farm with pet chickens. I don't feel bad eating those eggs.
I'm a fellow englishman! GO ENGLAND BTW IN THE RUGBY! Alpro soya is quite nice only tried the chocolate soymilk but i've found it to be very nice, that's the furthest i've gone currently as i'm going vegan slowly but surely!
I just wanted to second the almond milk suggestion. It's far and away my favorite milk substitute. I've never missed milk because of it. Mmmm.
Pretty sure I've seen that Alpro soya around, maybe in holland & barrett. The only thing is, Tofu is made from soya right? and i dont want to kinda overload on soya lol, think il try and find some almond milk it sounds good hehe. thanks for the advice =D
Don't they make fake eggs? Like the liquid stuff? I've briefly looked for it but the fake stuff I found had eggs in it (I guess its supposed to have other better stuff in it or something) but I didn't really look too hard. I thought I heard that they make fake egg stuff from like potatos or something..?
