I decided this year I dont want any christmas gifts and I just want to give it all too charity. What are some good charities that definitely give the money to where they say its going? Id like giving to charities that help out animals and starvation in other countries. Thanks!
Peaceful Prairie Farm Sanctuary Rocky Mountain Animal Defense (pretty broad in what is helped) Mindy's Memory Primate Sanctuary Any humane society. if your local one gets good donations, how about picking one that doesn't? Also, your local no-kill shelter, breed rescue or wild animal sanctuary. as for feeding people, Second Harvest (takes restaurant leftovers and feeds people with them) Oxfam Look for places that start self-sufficiency programs Heifer International does this, although through the use of animals, but the idea is sound. look into Network for Good, as well. but before you fork over a penny, check them out. Many, many church organizations have dropped obvious words that reflect their religion while leaving buzz words for the initiated. I don't think a person should have to convert or listen to a sermon to be fed, anywhere. Self-sufficiency programs... It's in humanity's nature to trade, since paleolithic times. Trade is good! Give away your surpluses to receive items you're in lack of! Yay!

How did you guys convince everyone not to give you presents? lol, I've tried asking for no presents before, but my mom always says that she's going to get me presents no matter what...
Haha yea my mom was really annoying me about it before. Shes practically begging me to get a new guitar for christmas. I tried to do it last year also, but she wouldn't but this year she is. Also thanks for the help so far, I'll look into it more.
wow I can really respect you guys for not wanting presents for christmas, I would do the same this year, but Im trying to get down to central america in february and Im counting on christmas to help pay for my trip.
try and spca animal shelter in your area, usually they can use the donation. Ill probably volunteer down at mine soon, walk some dogs and other shit like that
