Just over a year away, after the past 7 years this election will have a big impact in where the coutnry goes. Honestly, I think the Republicans are going to win again for one main reason, who's leading the Dems, Clinton and Obama. As for Obama, he's not bad, but compared to the Republicans who are leading they'll destroy him come debate time on the issue of experience, and I hate to say it but I don't think a black man could be elected yet in the USA unless it was one well liked on both sides, like Colin Powell before Bush and company destroyed his credibility. Then you have Clinton, again trying to break another norm by electing a woman as president, but not just any woman, a woman who is hated by so many people. Yes alot of people like her. but at the same time she is one of the most hated politicians in this country. Let's go to the Republican front runners, Romney and Mr. Mayor, all you can say there is oh fucking god. They both suck but god I hope Giuliani beats Romney, he's at least a little better. I'm with Ron Paul, but god knows he won't win. Then what no one talks about though is which way the congress will swing, will the Dems get more, less, Republicans take it back over. And what's going on in your state politics?
Well I don't care if who I vote for for a dem really. I just want the republicans out of office, and I'm sure a lot of voters feel the same way. Although if I can vote for Hillary I will. I don't particularly care for Obama.
It's a fake, pre-determined farce enacted to distract and placate the masses into thinking they have a voice. When, in fact, they do not. It's also an excellent way to divert dissident factions into throwing all their energy into impossible and futile causes like Kucinich, Nader, Paul, etc. All of the candidates are bad human beings. Even the third party ones. They are all parts of the system oppressing you, and they don't give a shit about you.
Well I don't think that's completely true, but I do believe that Bush won again on purpose this past election.. However... we should still vote.
Throwing your weight behind a 3rd party isn't useless, think of Perot, he got 22% of the vote and totaly screwed up that election for Bush in 1992 and it also sends a message. It's always been a 2 party system but sometimes a 3rd party makes the difference, Lincoln was elected when the Republicans were a 3rd party, Teddy Roosevelt came in 2nd in 1912 as a 3rd party, the Perot example again. But more importantly it sends a message, and you never know, remember Kerry in 2004, no one expected him to win, he was forgotten by the media come the 1st primaries, but thanks to those primaries and Dean's scream, he came out winning. Which was horrible, Kerry was way to uninspiring to ever beat Bush, I mean Bush is the same way but at least back then he still had his party's voters support(remember aside from Bush winning the Republicans gained seats in congress too) Kerry was just "well, I hate bush so I'm gonna vote for this monotone guy that never stops with these stupid stories"
there are only two places for this country to go.. up, or up in flames. as long as our only choices are pandering to this demographic or that race, we really have no choices at all. when will the people in office actually consider the welfare of the country instead of their own personal agenda? when will a person in power be able to admit that what they believe and what is best for the people are different? what about the constitution, that beautiful outline that gives us the freedom to choose how we want to live? is it obsolete? it is not up to the president to choose what is right for each individual, only to choose what is mildly best for everyone, allowing the freedom to choose our own way to go. I am so fed up with the people who get the privilege to run this country, who have the paper to say that they went to school, that they are "qualified" but who have no inspiration to fix things. the president should be a problem solver, a leader, not a blind follower of anything, faith or science, or other people. ...grumble... I cant wait till Im 35.
He didn't screw up any vote. The elections are pre-determined, rigged, false, complete fabrications. The winners are chosen long before you've even thought about the election, and the campaigns are just means of control and distraction. In short, your vote does not count nor will it ever count, because no one is actually counting it.
I completly agree. I would love to see Clinton or Obama win, but for the reasons stated above, i just dont think it is possible. As much as I hate to admit it, it looks like were ganna be stuck with a republican for another 4 years. Lets just hope its not Guliani, cause he'll try to impliment the petty crime crack down on the whole country, just like in NYC. And we all know what that means for us stoners.
Most of the people in this country will probably vote for the big name puppets. (Clinton, Obama, etc....) These people can't be trusted, all they do is dance around questions because they are afraid of angering the source of their money, and afraid of losing votes from people who disagree with them... And yet candidates like Mike Gravel and Ron Paul who answer the questions straight up and actually have thoughts of their own never get the peoples votes. The people all say they want change, but as long as we keep electing these puppets that the media tells us are the best candidates, I believe that change will never come. It's pretty sad how all Mike Gravel does is kick ass in the debates and tell it like it is, and yet everyone just disregards him. He is the best candidate in my opinion, he has done some great things, and wants to give the power back to the people, try to promote peace through diplomacy, ween America off of this oil addiction, etc... Too bad nobody seems to give a shit about things like that, instead we are all worried about the candidates image and not their beliefs and ideas... These are my beliefs and ideas, and I am open to hear some criticism. And if anything I have stated is wrong, please correct me. Here is an interview with Mike Gravel that I think we should all watch -------> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5Dw4ZTts2o
Most people wont vote anyway. The reason politics in the US is such a joke is that all the people that bitch and piss and moan about the government and how bad it sucks are too fucking lazy to put down the bong, the Big Mac and the video games to march their lazy, overweight asses what is usually less than a couple of miles to actually vote. It's much easier to sit in front of a computer and complain. Whineing fucking maggots.
