Any fan of Lennon's knows that he had a major dark side. His tongue was sharp, he could be physically violent, and of course he treated his first wife and son like total crap. But, that's part of it man. People are complex, especially someone like Lennon. Lennon's an easy guy to put down, but his flaws, in my opinion, could never hold a candle to the amount of pure beauty and joy he brought to this world in his too short life.
Agreed. Lennon was never the saint he is occasionally portrayed as.The 'retard' You Tube clip that is on this thread proves that his sense of humour was often cruel & mocking. The important point to bear in mind that Lennon's energy was channeled through 'emotional hurt'.His Mother was run down by a Taxi when he was only 18.The effect on him was so bad he recorded two primal scream songs about her in 1970. Emotional hurt was also the basis of his incredibly sensitive love songs throughout his music career. 'Working Class Hero' was his brave & defiant statement of hurt & anguish. What I am saying is that his 'dark side' fueled his 'beautiful side' .The karma energy was the same source in both areas.
