Wasting Food

I feel so bad wasting food. I try to eat leftovers.. I just tried to eat leftovers from a week ago but I couldn't do it... I guess maybe it wasn't good anymore cuz it was hard to eat it. I just feel really bad wasting food! And a few days ago I had to paint fruit for my painting class and when I was done my door bumped my table the fruit was on and the peach rolled in the paint so I couldn't eat it. Blah! I'm really trying to use all my food here

 

Yea I hate it. I eat mainly leftovers collected from everywhere. People always throw away shit and I'd rather eat it (unless its garbage food like mcdonalds), but sometimes I probably shouldn't eat it, health reasons.

This is one thing that I hate to see and avoid doing. I work in a bistro and they waste so much-I am always saying that they are lil kids in Africa that would kill for what we discard !

 

Well there are always dumpster divers like mortes there hehe. I think thats awesome.

instead of just tossing your food in the trash you can compost or start a worm bin and feed it to them. it doesn't have to go into a landfill.

 

I work in a cafeteria & the cooks throw out lots of food all the time....every night

 

Plenty of food and farms in the world. Its just the rich own them.

 

Working at a restaurant (Noodles & Co... high prices for yuppies who don't know food) really gets under my skin. I see so much waste.

I eat as much of thefood I buy s possible. I've wasted a grand total of a 6th of half galon of milk in the past 3 weeks.

rather than eat food which is no longer good and get sick, better waste it. or give the leftovers to some animal to eat...

 

i fed some stray cat at a restaurant table till it couldn't eat any more recently.

 

i dont know what the act is called, but what you do is just take your leftovers from wherever and just leave it on top of a trash can for the homeless. i know that sounds strange and maybe degrading, but make it look appealing, i promise its not wasting your food. i have seen people do it around my town as well as ive seen the less fortunate take advantage. i practice often and it really does help out.
