Well, I tried to backcomb... I suppose I did it totally wrong. It looks like shit and very loose and unorganized. Do I have to shave my head x.x Will it still form dreads? If it will then great! But will they look like shit?
actually that's a good start. if you wanted to you could just use a good soap (like dr. bronners) and let them start to get knotty on their own. you can seperate them and palm roll as they come in.
thats a great start... I'm not sure what you mean by "look like shit" ive never seen locks that look like shit because everyone's hair has its own personality... only time will tell what they will look like.
they just look like they were really loosely backcombed. they'll dread if you give them enough time. relax and let your hair do its thing.
the early stages are the crazy stages its all a beautiful process they look great on u post more over the next several weeks oh ,aybe some aloe early on might be good
If I were you, I would stick with it. And just keep washing with a soap like Dr Bronners. Looks like a great start with them!!!!
in the end dreads never look like shit. and those look like they'r on a good start. better then mine when i started them
That looks like a great start. Only thing it looks like you'll have to deal with is dreads blending together, you know? Just work hard to keep em separate.
yeah just keep going with them. the first few weeks were super hard for me as every day I was like "god damn I fucking hate how shitty these look" but after the one month mark they started looking better and honestly, they will look better every day. part of dreads is being patient and letting nature take it's course. you are off to a good start.
dreads are not instant, and they will not be what you expect for awhile, but slowly you will start to realize the art is in the process, not the end result, as it is a perpetual process to "get" dreads...years and years can pass before one has the dreads they FINALLY want...but the journey is the reward.
