I'm goin to enlighten you all with a Band that will change your life, seriously..STS9

STS9 is the greatest band touring right now....

AND i know that is a Bold statement....But if you have never seen STS9 live then you dont even know...

StS9 stands for Sound Tribe Sector 9......

They cover so many genras you really cant call them jam band, Electronica or Rock or Hip Hop...because they are all

The music is sooooo amazing....they always change it up...they jam like no other....their music is just so freakin organic......i LOVE IT....

Their backround is amazing....they believe in the Mayan Religous beliefs and the vernal equinoxes and such.....they themselves are amazing people

Back in the day they had crystals on stage....and even live floral decorating...yes an artist that used flowers during the show to set the move...truely beautiful....

And to this day they have live painting on stage with artists such .as Kris D, Des 19, David Hale and Sane...not to mention the great Jerry Garcia (no not the GD jerry but hes lucky to have the same exact name)

Nothing does it more for me than STS9....when a live show comes your way I'd highly advise you to buy a ticket.....

The community or "fanbase" around this band is amazing....so many people i have met and become friends with...truely amazing people

They just finished their fall tour...and I hit up Chicago>Ohio>Milwaukee and Madison.......and im on my 20th show and i still havent seen all the songs theyve produced....though i see more and more music everytime...wether it be improv or a old song from back in the day...

They will be Playin at the Warfield in San Fran for Halloween....With the day of the dead as the theme for costumes.....

Then they will hit up Vegoose

Then the 4 day run at the Tabernacle in Atl. Georgia to finish up the year....which i will be at all 4 days.....

This band makes me wish i bought a 2 day ticket for vegoose instead of just a sunday ticket. This band kicks some serious ass! Thank you for opening my eyes to this amazing band! I cant believe nobody else has commented about them!!

 

i thought everyone knew about sound tribe...they are practically mainstream now. Theyve been touring for quite some time now, but the past few years they have really exploded. Although they are def one of the "better" bands touring these days, it is impossible to say they are the best. Because i would rather see Eat Static or Ozric Tentacles any day of the week than sts9.....there actually is a lot of good bands similar to sts9 nowadays if you dig a little deeper underground. But the fanbase of sts9 is unmatched in the electronic/jam scene....that is really what sets them apart. i thought conspirator played a better show when i saw them both at wak 05' and ive seen sts9 about 10 times or so now...and if you saw the join (sts9, benevento russo duo, and the new deal side project....sick sick sick) at sts9's RE:generation fest in north carolina, then you know what your missin...but i would have to say eat static would be the coolest show of all time. or old ozric tentacles. If you can get your hands on eat static's de-classified album it is much more energetic than sts9. Sound tribe is starting to really chill things out and mellow things a lot more now. They used to be a lot faster and higher energy.

 

STS9 blows my mind - they are one of my top favorite bands right now. Their live shows are amazing and their music is so massive - it just is such a powerful force.
I cant get enough of 'em.
