Hi, I really need help QUICK! I have some plants going under a 400watt HPS light. About 3-4 weeks old. About 5 days ago I noticed some little brown spots on near the end of the leaves in the middle. This brown spot has quickly spread to almost the whole leaf and it has withered and dried out. Looked almost like a tan or brown waterspot at first, spread quickly. The rest of the plant looks healthy- but this problem has spread to other plants and is now moving upward to higher leaves. I thought it may be mites or a bacteria- sprayed with neem solution- nothing. I only water with distilled H2o for good Ph. A couple days before it started I watered with blood meal tea made with 1tbsp blood meal dissolved in a gal. water for a week (N)Planted in Miracle Gro organic soil with .10% N, .05 phosphate and .05 potash all from chicken poo. Put in plenty of perliteMy growroom never gets above 85 degrees, gets a little chilly at night (60's) and has good ventilation- but it is extremely dry (20-35% humidity). Two days ago watered with a little ProGro Vegging solution in H2o-(3%N, 2%phosphate, 1% calcium, .5% mg) - was thinking it may be magnesium def. - still getting worse- PLEASE HELP!!!! 4 plants now showing signs!! need Lime maybe? Foliar feed with Epsom salts? FLush? Or something completely different. It wouldn't let me upload my pics- sorry. But ANY suggestions will help, starting to think severe nute burn- too much N maybe

Without seeing the pics it sounds like too much N. That boold meal is strong stuff, it's like a 12-0-0 right? Try flushing with 3x the volume of your container.

Hard to say just from a description. Either nute burn or pH problems. What type of soil are you using, and what is it made of?

Yea Farmer, the Blood meal i used is 12-0-0-I'm starting to think it's some pretty bad N burn. Thinking back it seemed to come on about 4 or 5 days after I added the Blood Meal tea solution. I'm using MiracleGro Organic potting soil (.10% N, .05 Phosphate and .05 potash all derived from chicken manure.) Seemed like it had all the good stuff for the price. I'd say it's about 30% perlite, with a touch of blood meal and bone meal mixed in with the soil. I flushed them all really well today, so I'll see what happens in the days coming up. Thanks for the help- and keep it coming if you have any more ideas.

I finally got a chance to test the pH of the soil and its REALLY low- around 4.8- I'm gonna get some pH up and foliar feed with a little epsom salt, but what are some other homemade solutions to raise pH? I heard watering with some crushed up egg shells fhelps and adds calcium and what not. I'm praying and hoping this was the problem
