i hate basic studies

    or at least share in my loathing of history classes

    all the basic courses are put into place to filter out the people who are serious about college and those who are not. Trust me, a lot of people drop out in their first 2 years. Wait until you get to your senior year. It's overwhelming at times even though you are in classes that you should like...

    Okay I'm done procrastinating. I have to write 4 papers tonight.

    im not sure if you are in a liberal arts college, or what your area of study is for that matter, but i know that the idea of a liberal arts college is to make you a well rounded induvidual, educationally speaking.

    In my western civilization class we talked about the signifigance of the liberal arts curriculum and when it was formed (back in the 10th century, i think if not before) and it was to make one be learned in all aspects of study.

    You hate history. I hate math. I'm not going to need it after the semester's over. So I'm feelin your frustration!!!
