I agree I don't spend all my time here it would be unhealthy, but unhealthy in a different way to watching someone kill themself S
i do plenty with my life i'd still make time to watch it if i know about it beforehand, or i'd TiVo it
Dude. Murdering a criminal makes you as worse as him. And what does it eventually helps? some sad family members and a life less? I believe in constructive punishments, find to origin of their crime, prevent future happening, give him mental help, or whatever. believe me, there are no -or altleast almost - criminals we comit crimes for fun. Mostly they can't control their emotions or the situation any longer and go amok. There is no satisfaction in capital punishment.
you say its murdering a criminal... i say its the punishment for the crime they committed. i'd rather see a murderer stoned than in the electric chair or giving a lethal dose in his veins
Lobotomized, that's even worse man. Cut out some brains to make them harmless robots. that's the real hippie spirit, peace and love to all lobotomized robots!
A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. A robot must obey orders given to it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law - Isaac Asimov Hotwater
Some people say death, more so suicide is an art. If someone wants to show their art live so be it, if i remember id watch it. Better yet sell tickets.
people are having sex all the time too, and porn is a huge industry. in fact, pretty much anything you can watch, besides harry potter and that sort, does happen all the time
as more worse in the as grammar... ever heard of sociopaths? you'd apparently be surprised about how many of them are out there
Theres been debates on that since, before god probably. Theres probably better ways to deal with criminals, but to take a life, one should admit their own to balance justice. (just made that up) Were overpopulated now its fucked, sucks that someone gets murdered, so why should society feel bad about losing one more, the "bad" one.
I still think the fact that indulging in the death of another isn't necessarily a reaction of inhumanity, but one more of curiosity, which as I said earlier, is more indicative of our cultures dehumanizing of death. It's obvious, but death will happen to you. Your death will cause a lot of pain for those you love. The death you would watch would be the same thing. Suicide, murder, or long prolonged illness. How good or evil the person was would not affect what happens. Their life will cease. You can justify it to yourself if you want. There are a lot more people in this world. Does it mean that one persons suffering is lessened? Of course not. Because they're mentally ill and want to kill themselves, is that any less tragic than an accidental death? Or a car crash by someone who drank too much? Death is final. And I can understand the interest. But don't bask in the suffering of another because of a natural human fascination with death. On the other topic, the death penalty is a primitive urge for bloodlust. Societies role is not to punish but to protect. The death penalty is the antithesis of what civilization is about. The death penalty will not right any wrongs, or save any lives. If anything it perpetuates the notion of devaluing life.
