Why would you want to Shoot any drug up your first time ? Do you want to Die !!!! I have been a IV drug user now for years and the only reason I strarted using a needle is because my addiction was getting worse and worse and I would have to sniff 5 bags of herion to get the high from what 1 bag would do when I injected it. Do you know how easy it is to die from IVing Herion ? I just can't belive you want to try Herion in the first place and you want to shoot it at that. your best bet and this is coming from a Herion addict is stay away from the shit. It might be better if it kills you fast that way your family and friends won't have to watch you go down the patch of becoming a Herion addict, If you like to steal and Rob and fuckover people you love then go ahead, also be ready to be speniding alot of time inside of Jail cells and rehabs because that is where you will be spending alot of nights. listen to what Chakkname says above get your shit together and think about living life. Stick to smoking pot and triping every now and then, Hard drugs like Herion/Crack/Meth will only fuck up your life. Every one I know who has fucked with herion has a fucked up life now every one !!!! also for those of you say Herion is overrated when it comes to opiate highs. I don't know where you got you dope From, maybe you got crushed up Vicodins in a bag or something. Herion is buy far the Best Opiate high in the world. The only other opiate that can even come close to the Herion high is shooting Dilaudid 4's. But that high is not worth how much it fucks up your life !!!

I'm fairly sure if you're snorting it, you have a lot less to worry about in the ways of addiction and withdrawal. It was fun but not something I found to be enjoyable enough that I'd repeat it. I guess I would.

My point is simply that trying it will not ruin your life forever. You won't get hopelessly addicted unless you let yourself get hopelessly addicted. I know addiction exists, and everyone is different. Some people don't have the willpower or control to stop using it or by the time they've realized they're using it too much, they're already physically and possibly mentally addicted. I'm not trying to brag or anything but for Christ sake have some self control people. If you go in watching your usage and have a good willpower then you'll be fine. Sure if you keep doing it you're going to get physically addicted, and that's why, despite how amazing it is, one needs to control their intake (especially if they're shooting, which is generally a bad idea in many ways). All this just comes naturally to me and I think the amount of knowledge I've gained on drugs has given me a good base for decision making.

Knowledge is power, and in this case, control. Haha

 

I fucking hate all you asshole drug-shitting posters who think they have had the definitive drug experience. Fuck you. Everyones first time/extended use is different and there is no way of knowing whether or not this OP is about to start down a long and dark path of addiction or if hes gonna do it once and decide its not that great. In the end it doesn't matter what anyone on this post says, its up to you. only you know your limits and addictiveness and only you are capable of deciding.

 

I was only expressing my opinion, though it did seem forced. I said everyone's different but I think if someone knows a lot about the drug they're ingesting, they're much better off. They can help themselves in a possible time of crisis. I just think if more people researched and read up on what they were putting into their body, they'd be better set for the experience. There's no real way to tell how you'll react to a drug the first time, but it helps to be prepared for what might happen. This forum is a great place to ask questions about drugs because there are knowledgeable people here.

 

As an experienced drug user, I agree with Geneity. The MOST important part of using drugs is knowing EVERYTHING about the way your drug of choice interacts with your body.

Seriously, why do something that could kill you right out of the gate? Of all the Erowid reports I've read, heroin has the most deaths. Not a good sign.

Heroin is the most potent, highly addictive of ALL opiates. Shooting up is the most direct route of any method, too, so to try heroin by shooting up YOUR FIRST TIME would be asking for trouble. True, some people can "chip" and remain occasional users, but why risk it? What are the potential benefits of using heroin? Weigh the risks with the benefits and don't fool yourself by downplaying the risks. If you've already made up your mind, fine, but I urge you to do further research and to think about it logically before jumping headfirst into something that could potentially kill you, get you hooked, arrested, etc. etc.

Stick to those good ol' pills, man! Heroin is a cheap, dirty high that leads to one of two paths: death or junkiedome...

 

This is stupid. Junk can be a great high, if you like that sort of thing. That's the problem, "If you like that sort of thing". No not everyone who does it gets addicted, but no one starts out saying I want to get addicted. If you like it, heroin is very seductive. It makes everything right with the world, until it wears off. Just remember, you make your choices and you take your chances.

Don't share your works. There's more than getting addicted to worry about, like AIDS or Hep C. Neither is any fun.

Pills could very well lead one to the same fate.

 

I agree that pills can be very dangerous, but taking too high a dose of pills is a bit harder to do. With pills, you KNOW the amount of the drug they contain and can stop whenever. If you DO do something stupid and take too many, at least there's the option of having your stomach pumped. Shoot up the wrong dose of heroin and you're pretty much done.

Also, prescription pills aren't cut with god-knows-what, so you KNOW exactly what you're putting into your body when you take them. Unlike pills, there's no "recommended dose" of heroin. It's a thin line between high and dead.

That's not to stigmatize H, it just seems that the risks outweigh the benefits of that particular drug and that particular route of administration (shooting). Maybe I'm wrong...it's a forum and there's always room for discussion. It just doesn't seem like the wisest thing to do and I wouldn't feel good about myself for condoning it. I know there are people out there with the philosophy of "Life's short, we're all dying anyway, might as well have fun while you're here..." To a degree, I agree with that. But I also feel that BECAUSE life is short and you only get one chance at it (as far as we know), you should make the most of it by trying to learn, grow, love and help others, and try to experience life in ALL its dimensions, not just throw caution to the wind and say "fuck it, I'm dying anyway." (not that people who do H have that philosophy, but I know some people, non-drug users even, who do.)

Just my opinions. Yours are just as valuable, so share them.

I agree that it is less likely to overdose on pills than shooting up, but shooting is oh so much better. However, that isn't what logwarrior is asking.

He's not asking what the up side is (we all know that: you get high and have a good time), he's asking about the down side, and there is plenty. As for controlling it, do you know that doctors and other health care workers are among the highest percentage of professionals to have addictions?

I've known people that used pills without getting addicted, but I've know others that have become addicted. Stopping isn't like "gee man, I haven't got high in a week. What a bummer man". It can be like lying in bed with your brain bouncing off the walls. Getting chills where you pile blankets on and then getting hot flashes and throwing the blankets off, all night long, and that's just a chippy.

This isn't a moral issue. I don't care what drugs anyone does, but if someone's asking for advice, tell them the truth. If you do acid you may have a bad trip. You'll probably live. If you get addicted, you may crash, you'll probably live. The difference is what you'll do not to crash. I had one friend who became a gay prostitute to support his habit. It's a good thing he was young. But hey! It can't happen to me man. Well that's probably what every junky says. If you're asking for advice, the advice is it can happen to you.

I've never tried any form of opiates but I used to live with my dad who was really into that sort of stuff.
I have to say, sure no one WANTS to get addicted..
but come on this is fucking heroin.
Anyone who says, "You know, I think I want to try heroin." couldn't be planning to do much with their lives in the near future.
And be realistic, how many people are going to do heroin and only do it once?
I think anyone who wants to try this drug knows what they're getting into and should expect to get addicted.
I've seen it happen with my own dad and many of his friends.

 

gorilla biscuit you really make a great point !! people who wake up one day and say I think I want to try Herion are just no right there life goals can not be to good ? Something has to be fucked up in there head to even think about wanting to shoot up. I am a former Herion addcit myself and I never woke up one day saying I want to use Herion and Shoot it up at that. Thats what gets me also most people think needles are dirty and this kid wants to Shoot up his first time ??? THATS UNREAL !!! Most people who try Herion want to sniff it or smoke it not shoot it there first time. The reason I first started doing Herion was because I was addcited to sniffing Coke and I hated the come down form coke, This raver Chick I was fucking around with loved to sniff Herion and said if you sniff a little bump of this at the end of the night when all the coke is done you will feel great and not have to worry about the crashing, So I tried a bump and it worked I would sniff a little more every time I used. I fell in love with the feeling that Herion brought !!! Who fucking new that sniffing a little bump would lead into me being a full blown Junky shooting about 10 bags of the shit a day 2 years down the Road !!!! Stay away from Herion and all Hard drugs for that matter. Sure some people can try hard drugs and not get hooked but you know what most people I started using hard shit with in high school are still fucked up on drugs.only a few who hung out witht he crowd I ran with stopped using Herion and Coke !!!! Stick with smoking Blunts and tripping your balls off every now and then.
