did it my first time

i took a hit from my new pipe about 7 hours ago. it was the first time i smoked weed. idk what it says how old i am but im 16. anyways... after like idk how much time it went away but then i got a weird headache.

i got high for sure but like i said after about 3-4 hours i got a headache. is this usual or is it cuz its my first time or what?

EDIT: also i didnt take any pills or anything today or for a long ass time. so.. yea

 

Did you smoke any stems or seeds? That can cause a headache for an hour or so after your high goes away, usually not a bad one though.

 

yea i didnt take out seeds or anything cuz i had 15 mins to smoke so i tried to do it fast. i quickly grinded some up and put it in the bowl and smoked it. yea it wasnt bad headache just that it kinda ruined the experience after. it felt like a sinus headache

Well, did you enjoy the actual being high part? Tell the story...

 

Seeds are small, about 2 mm wide or so, and you can easily tell them apart from bud once you see them. For stems, make sure you get the big ones off (usually at an end of the bud, barely sticking out). Its good to get as much stem out as you can, while at least keeping the bud mostly stuck together, because flake burns fast and gives you harsh hits. If you do this every time you smoke, which really only takes about 30 seconds, you will have a more enjoyable high, without that annoying headache.

 

pick out the seeds and stems. it's not hard and you'll enjoy your high much more. another cause of headaches (at least for me) is smoking shitty weed. being that it's your first time though, I doubt highly that's the problem.

 

oh yea...i felt it like 5 mins later. my head got reallllly light. felt like i had nothing in my head. i was gonna go chill at the park so my mom wont come home and find me high and i remember i couldnt find my keys. i was getting scared cuz my mom was about to come home. then i finally found them and went to the park. i was riding my bike and my legs were feeling so funny. all tingling and didnt even feel like i was pedaling my bike. at the park i didnt want to stand just lay down.

later i went my friends house and he didnt know i was high and i just kept laughing and he got really pissed because he wanted know what was so funny. i never laughed like that before. i couldnt stop at all. it was awesome.

i smoked one bowl in my pipe and i dont think my pipes that big (i dont really know not that experienced) but i was pretty high.

then i came home and ate a crap load

 

Yea. Just grind up the weed with your fingers and if you ground it small enough you will see the seeds. Pick ALL of them out, as well as any stems, so it's all just bud. Smoking seeds give you a headache. They also make your weed "Pop" in the bowl

 

When I'm stoned, I always get really bad headaches if I don't eat within a few hours.

ok so we got causes:
seeds and stems
no eating afterwards
dirty weed

and i didnt pick out seeds/stems and i ate almost 4 hours after i smoked. i dont know about the weed so it could be any of those things. next time i smoke ill pick out all seeds/stems and ill eat something after and if i still get headache then its the weed, right? ill get back to you guys after i smoke the same stash again. it could be a couple days tho. thanks

 

you probably should have picked out the seeds & stems.

smoking the stems could possibly give you a headache.

 

Like I said, make sure the stems and seeds are out of the weed before you smoke it. Eat (AND DRINK) afterwards, if you haven't already experienced it, cottonmouth is a common side-effect of smoking. Dirty weed is your last concern, make sure you check out the weed before you buy it if you can.

Not all weed has seeds. In my experiences, higher quality pot its pretty rare/awesome to find a seed. Usually middies and lower are where your seeds are going to be found.

You should if it is offered, but I wouldn't ask to smoke before I buy, personally.....that's just me though.

 

It wasnt the seeds. Headaches happen when your coming down off weed the first however many times. Small price to pay...take some tylenol.

 

salmon4me i think your right. cuz my headache did start about 2-3 hours after my first hit and i could feel the high coming off. also i looked at some of the stash i had left over and there wasnt many seeds in there. there were a couple stems though...
