I have gotten that before sort of.. Someone would be talking to me and I felt so far away from them I could hear them talking continuously but I couldnt really make it out. freaked me out for sure. I smoked alot of topnotch weed that time, too much probably.

I have actually had that happen to me many times, when that happens, go get a drink and a small snack, and sit on a chair or couch to get comfortable, and put on some soft music (anything from sublime, to tom petty or grateful dead).
Instead of trying to focus on what is being said, or how you can stop feeling that way, let your mind think about anything it wants, like the weather or music, and in about 5 minutes you will be feeling really good, and that bad feeling you had will turn into a more relaxed high, and after that you will probably want to smoke more :)

    ^Nice idea.
I've never had the whole time speeding up thing but I do sometimes find conversations and stuff really, really confusing. I just sit back and laugh at myself for being so goofy. I think chilling out like that for a minute or two is probably a good way to regain some composure though.

Whenever I'm stoned though the one thing I can never overcome is stairs, which is just wierd. I get jelly legs!
