Acid alone in the dark?

Ok, I've taken lsd several times, but never by myself. A lot of people i've talked to said that it's deeply "theraputic" to take it by yourself, and that it's even better to do it in a dark room with music. Now, I'm proud to say i know my body and i've never had a bad trip, but...i have some major concerns, cuz theres a first time for everything i know... Any thoughts or suggestions from you more expierienced trippers?

 

I do say tripping in the darkness is good, I usually do that with one close friend and then turn the lights off and remain the dark for a while. But I've never done it alone. Maybe try tripping in the complete dark with a friend first; and agree to not talk too much on that point and see if you get anything out of it?

 

I've tried it before. It's pretty cool. I was tripping with a few friends, and they all had to leave, so I was stuck at home by myself. I decided to go put on some headphones, turn out the lights, close my eyes and refuse to move until I was sober. I chose "Black Aria" and "Black Aria II" by Danzig. If you're familiar with Danzig, but have never heard the albums, they're almost nothing like his other music. Anyway, I was lying on my bed meditating and at some point, I could actually feel hands on my back, picking me up and carrying me away to somewhere unknown. I got interrupted by my roommates coming home drunk. I highly suggest it and I'm going to do it again ASAP.

 

ive tripped on shrooms with just one close friend in a dark room before and it was extrtemely thereputic and spiritual. just listening to shpongle, and not talking. hvant done it on acid before. acid for me just seems like it would be too long to sit alone in the dark.

 

good idea - wonderful experience.

i once talked a girlfriend into trying it. she was in the bedroom alone for the first few hours meditating in the dark. i suggested that she do this because i had done it a few times with great success. she wasnt exactly happy when she came out of that room but whatever happened was good for her. sometimes demons will only show themselves when you are alone - great way to face demons if you have any, tripping alone. usually people would consider facing your demons a bad trip but if you look at it correctly and understand why you are experiencing such things you can work through your issues and rid yourself of such demons (if you have any)... if your slate is clean then you can skip right to the fun part. relax and enjoy the void, the light, the love - let it open you up to feel a connection to everything.

 

ye solo trips are super fun dude. everything you expect and more

 

i don't really agree with the no talking/no lights/music thing. i think you should be alone and have the freedom to do whatever you want. terence mckenna said something along the lines of... whenever someone else is around, culture is the third guest, and a lot of times in a really serious trip you'll find yourself thinking "i'm sure glad there's noone here to see me right now" because you've got your leg twisted over your neck and you're babbling away to yourself...

i consider those trips to be good trips .

 

I hate light when I'm tripping(except the sun ). I'm much more comfortable in a dimly lit or dark room, and I trip alone most of the time.

As for the music, listening to Dark side in a pitch black room lying on my back was awe inspiring. I felt like I was flying with the music, completely detached from any reality.

 

As much as there is to say for tripping alone.. sharing the experience is great. I personally prefer a 2 people trip most. Although 3 people can work pretty well too. And they have to be good friends with a deep connection that you trust, and in the best possible caze think very much alike.
All those type of trips have been my favorite, although when everyone leaves and I'm still tripping I'm fine in my own world as well.

 

hmm. so far all of you have somthing good to say about it.

i did it. the whole trip alone in the dark in my room, not talking to anyone. wasnt completly dark for the whole time, i did put the tv to play psychedelic colours for parts. and logged on computer for small bits.
but still its not all easy.
and if it turns nightmarish its a long night.
my turned quite unpleasent, scary, overwhelming. i had to play sanints row to get my mind on somthing, and i had to drive as fast as i could, cause everytime i slowed down i got more overwhelmed and scared. tho overall is was good. there were some pleasant times

 

my second trip was alone and on the 9th floor apartment i lived in at the time. there were birds in the park below and i was able to see every detail on every feather...and i thought omg have i jumped? am i falling? wtf? and my trip went a bit pear shaped for a while after that... :1eye:
when i was a tripper i enjoyed acid alone but shrooms loved nature and good company, i found. that's just my opinion. :tasty:

 

You guys think it is really possible to be alone on acid, if you know what I mean?
