my first harvest looks good except for a light dusting of what seems to me (from pictures I have seen in books) to be powdery mildew -- especially on and close to the stem / core of the flower. while i am taking more preventative appoaches for any future harvest, i am a medical patient and would like to save my weed because it's my medicine. my condition isn't lung related but still, I want to be as careful as possible. the flowers smell good; it's just the visible whiteness, the knowing that it is there that keeps me from using it with peace of mind. what can i do? i am looking for a real, fact based method for denaturing the mildew in a way that will not denature the active ingredients of my medicine. also, it's important to me that i maintain the organic integrity of my medicine. thank you for taking the time to help me.
There is only one method I know of that is organic, and Im not sure if it will work on cannabis. But anyway... Milk fats contain chemicals that act as a fungicide.. Make a solution in a spray bottle of 15-20% WHOLE milk, and 90% water. Spray the infected area once a day. Store in the refrigerator when not in use. Dont use the same solution for more than 4 days Let us know
Local nurseries should have what you're looking for, thats where I get Serenade an anti fungal spray :>)
