This isn't ONLY for the US people. I have an assignment for ALL members of the Hip Forums. I would like you to set up a FOOD DRIVE in your area. It's EASY! Just contact some public organization to accept your donation(s). Put up posters, and most public service agencies can both provide containers for people to donate canned goods and or dry goods. They will also pick them up and give food to the needy. I'm doing this at the apartments where I live. The collected donations will go to a local 'Food Bank'. You can do it too!!! John Denver once said: 'You don't have to do it ALL. Just do the thing that you CAN do.' It all adds up! Don't let me down you hippies! You can tell us about your part in this thread.
That is great, Matt. I hope your drive goes well. It seems there is always a food drive going on around town somewhere here. I may not get it started but I try to do my part.
thats really cool dude. I don't think most people care enough anymore. Atleast, the younger generation. I should know, I belong to it. The older generation in my town does quite a bit of what you're endorsing here though, through Grange, Elks Lodge, and Church fundraisers, which I really respect. I think I may get more involved at some point in my life when I have more free time. In the mean time, Good Luck!
