IE, that pus-filled, boil upon the ass of an ass is not welcome at my house. I tore it out by the roots with a program called XpLite. (Windows won't allow you to delete IE without a fight) http://www.litepc.com/xplite.html

I use Mozilla 1.7 for daily stuff with Opera as a backup. Opera is HIGHLY customizable with hundreds of skins available for it now. Never cared for Firefox.

I remember that.It was a problem removing IE6-Now I have IE 7-I wonder how hard it is to remove?-Dosen't Firefox do it for you?-I thought they had that option?-I definatly won't try running both at the same time.It may get confused and explode.lol-Does anyone know a good non biased report done on the two browsers?

I run firefox on a 128 with multiple other programs running so 1gb it should run fine.

While I love linux telling people to try anything more than the livecd without knowing their hardware is ignorant.

FIREFOX. All the time. Firefox. Safer, allows less, I just find it more convenient and not as bubbly-looking as IE.

I dont think FF is slower than IE
but the fact about IE is that MS want you to pay for extensions - FF dont also FF extensions are far and away superior

Yeah I use Firefox all the time, and the IE tab add-on for websites that won't work with Firefox, so never need to launch IE any more.

I used Windows a few times. I tried using IE and within hours I had constant popups even after restarts.

I downloaded firefox and the popups went away.

a few days later a virus deleted my default windows theme. i logged in and couldnt see anything................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

    so anything microsoft is dangerous.

    KabOOOMMMMMMM!!!!
djbelkin dropped the atomic bomb that was to destroy the inernet explorer
    v's firefox debate forever

Firefox users you must do this to take advantage of both better security
    and faster browsing than IE

This must only be done by broadband users
1.Type "about:config" into the address bar (no quotes) and hit return.
Scroll down and look for the following entries:

    network.http.pipelining
    network.http.proxy.pipelining
    network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When
you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up
    page loading.

    2. Alter the entries as follows:

    Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"
    Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"
    Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to 4,
    this is the maximum that
    firefox handles at once.

    3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it
"nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the
amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves.

If you're using a broadband connection you'll load pages MUCH faster now!

a few IE fanatics managed to crawl out of the rubble with their arguments
in tatters like blackened clothes but djbelkin whipped round and, without
even aiming carefully, mowed them down in a barrage of bullets

yes djbelkin smashes the forces of evil wherever he finds them and pushes
them up the wrought iron buttocks of the terminator droid. Dont be
    buttfood get firefox
