    Here's the deal...

We went to a dance night club a few nights ago for my friends/my birthday, but all the attention was focused squarely on my buddy...all I got was just one of the 10 people I was chillin with to wish me a happy b-day, and when we go to the club the only money he spent was $20 for the cover charge...everyone was buying him drinks...meanwhile I blew $79 all on myself and nobody gave a ****...and on top tis all off, my best friend phone me on my birthday and asked me if I wanted to go costume shopping, and flat out admitted he forgot it was my b-day, which annoyed the living fvck out of me!
Also, I asked him on my b-day to save me some weed since I needed to grab and he promised he would, but when I phoned him two days later he said he sold it all...

all in all, I had fun, but all at MY OWN EXPENSE, ON MY OWN ****ING B-DAY!

    Some friends I've got...

i don't think you have a right to be mad. you're a grown dude and you can support yourself.

its not your friends job, nor any of those other peoples job to pay for you, or make sure you have a happy birthday. its your job. if you don't like that you had to pay $79 bucks for yourself, then you probably shouldn't have. you should have just enjoyed yourself or went home. its they're money, his weed. you should know that whenever someone makes a promise, theres always a chance someone could go back on it.

just forget about it and go on with your life. living with grudges and regrets is not the way to live

I'm not really holding a grudge, but doesn't it seem a bit odd that my best friend forgot about my birthday though? I wouldn't even think about being mad if only at least ONE of them stopped to buy me a drink for my birthday...and to tell the truth I'm not mad cuz I spent so much money...it's mostly cuz no one took their time to properly wish me a happy birthday...

all in all, i am definitely glad i went out with them and i had a wicked time, but just thinking about this later made me feel so unimportant...as if i was unwanted there too...and not to mention that i had to sleep on a fucking cement floor in a basement with no blanket or a matress to lie down on...

damn right you should be pissed! your "freinds" sound alot like mine! i'd tell em exactly how you feel,if they're really your freinds they won't mind, and appologize,if they don't well they weren't your freind!

    oh,happy birthday!

after 16, birthdays are more about an excuse to have a social gathering than to shower the bday person in affection

admittedly it is pretty shitty that htey all forgot and didnt even wish you a happy bday or buy you one or two drinks.

I've not celebrated my birthday since 13 cos they were never as good as any one else's. plus I refuse to tell any one I know when my birthday just cos they'll ask what are you doing for it? and after they'll ask what did you do? Why should I have to do anything! It's my birthday I want the day off. But I stopped having birthdays cos it pissed me off cos no one ever made as much fuss of me as they do for others(I'm unpopular, always have been) So my advice is don't have them yours will never compare with theirs. You'll know you've perfected the state of birthdaylessness when you don't remember your own.

Man i would be pissed, im on your side. Now i dont know you or your friends. Im guessin though they dont sound loyal. All i know is if it was my good friends bday i would show him the time of his life if i could. Its one day a year this thing happens, he/she survived another year, shit give them respect for that. Come to seattle my man, ill buy you any fucking drink you want.

i beg your pardon for being so blunt, but quite frankly you just need to forget about yer birthday. everyone expects it to be a perfect day fer some reason but (in my experience) it never is, just another day, so do yerself a favor and dont celebrate it....instead, celebrate with some ganja, drink, and snort. :D

You have the right to feel how you want to feel, but do you really want to feel pissed? It seems they didnt do anything wrong, it was your expectation of them that let you down, having said that, find new friends.

why is this posted in men's issues?

Move this to relationships or somewhere else as it is not within the forum guidelines.
