I have depression, and today I had a break down because I havent been taking my medicine... which i dont plan on taking anymore. I talked to my boss at work about it, and he said that his sister had depression and eating a certain way made her feel fine. He didnt know what way she ate tho. Does anybody know how to eat to stay happy? Is it just a balance of nutrients (like on the pyramid) is it organic? are there specific foods i need? This would be awesome if I could be happy just by eating a certain way.

The way out of depression is to walk it by your very own, no matter which kind of way you choose. I think the starting point is to be willing ... it's not so much about allowing another to help you out, but becoming active in any way you can imagine - whichever turns you on ... inspires you ... gives you fire. There's no limit as to what you see yourself act on.

And so ... to listen again to your body and change how you treat it may be part of your action.

And who knows - maybe you love the changes so much that you don't ever wanna stop change !

You are the one who will work it out best ... just be happy, and be true and listen to this wonderfully wise body and allow it to be happy, too.

Try to find plants in your surrounding that speak to you. Go running - give your body plenty of oxygen. This is just to give you an idea. Trust into your own intuiton. Change is not limited ... just be aware of where you limit change.

    Wishing you well

Depression has been linked to certain chemical imbalances. It is sometimes possible to self medicate though diet, but nothing will help depression more than physical activity. This allows your body to be stimulated in certain way that will produce the chemicals you need naturally.

I'll tell you what I tell everybody...get a bike, and make it a part of your life.

There's always room for another cyclist in the world. :)
