thats: eleven thousand seven hundred and ninety seven minimum and thirteen thousand eight hundred and six, maximum.
damn, Iraq is beating the good old USA 13,806 to 1,002, we've got some catching up to do....GET IN THE GAME BOYS!!!C'MON!!!!!
200,000-300,000 died on the Iran-Iraq war. an estimated 300,000-500,000 people "dissapeared" when Saddam was in power. He gassed his own people! Entire cities! Almost 300 Americans lost their life having to liberate Kuwait Around 5,500 colonist died fighting for our freedom back in 1776 when our Over 4,000 died again in the war of 1812 to protect our freedom. population was just above 3 million, and only 2/3 of that supported the cause. over 500,000 died keeping our country together to protect liberty. Over 400,000 died brining down Hitler, Musscolini and the Emperor. FREEDOM IS NOT FREE!
I doubt tearing apart a whole country justifys trying to unseat one man. If this was about Saddam, there wouldnt be a war. There would be an assassin, or maybe a cruise missile to take out his residence while in sleep. It's not like the man never goes out into the open. Freedom IS not free. But that's not what this war is about.
I didn't say go over there with a US plane and have some red white and blue dude jump out with a red white and blue gun that says "United States" down the side of it. I'm saying you don't tear apart a country to unseat a man from power. It was a nice attempt at sarcasm, though. I wish you would devote your energy to the better understanding of what we're really doing. You talk about 'the business that we want to get into' like we've never done it before. I'm sorry. I'd love to live in your world. Well, besides your wars. I'll say it again, over a thousand of our men have died there. That is not just a number, people. That represents actual human life. Don't give me your freedom has a price bullshit. We're sticking our nose into other people's business and killing our own men. These men had familys, wives, daughters, sons, uncles, aunts, fathers, mothers. Maybe to you their death signifys us closer to "terror-free worlds", but to me, it's another dead human life, leaving behind the sorrow and sadness for their loved ones. To Bush, it's just another bitch that he can't have fight anymore, just another gun laying bloodied on the ground that he wasted money on.
If we just wanted to get rid of Hussein, why are we still there? The main reason people are fighting over there is to get the Americans out.
For those so called freedom fighters: the US isnt freeing Iraq, they didnt care for a free Iraq when Saddam gassed his own people, when France, UK and the US sold Weapons of Mass Destruction to Saddam, when the French sold them the chemical weapon components, when they built a nuclear reactor for Saddam, when they sold him Exotec missiles; with which Saddam gassed the Kurdish citizens living to the north. The countries that shelter themselves under the motto "freedom fighters" did not hesitate a second to sell weapons to Iran, Iraq, Iran and then Iraq again, consecutively changing sides during the 8 year long war! A small Note: Why was those Kurds gassed? Bcuz father Bush had told them to start a revolt which would later be backed up by the US itself in the early 90s. And what happened? When Kurds revolted, Bush betrayed on them and Saddam crushed them. Freedom fighters? my ass! If the US is there for a free Iraq and to remove Saddam, then it did so, and it shall leave the country. But no, the US has to place its "viceroys" in Iraq, just as the British did 70 years ago and sucked all the petroleum. Then tell what? "Freedom has its costs" while driving your SUVs into one of those Mc drive ins, a week after the funeral of your neighbor's son. The US is economically, militarily and ecologically spoiling the earth. It's carbon emission rates are 5 times higher than it's closest competitor. The US is the smoker in the elavator. The drug smuggler (the golden crescent) and the weapons dealer. Everthing is disposable for the profit mongering markets, and markets "protector" America. It's own sons and daughters? They can also be converted into one of those CNN statistics...death toll tops 1002. And the best thing is you can see these figures in the same screen where the oil price and the stock rates' belt revolves. Just telling, so that so may be the first to know (!). I'm not saying Turkey or France or Russia or China or Spian would be any better if they had the chance. But you have to face the reality and strip yourself from national and religious prejudices.
Stop being brainwashed by the left, the radical clerics and Iraqis you see killing and blwoing up things are a very small part of the population, and a good deal of them are not even Iraqis. Most common Iraqis believe it or not love Bush, maybe for not what he's done all together, but for the fact he liberated the country. If we and the others left, those radicals would still keep on fighting, their goal is to set up a theocracy with Sharia law, and the vast majority of Iraqis do not want that.
The majority of Iraqis ARE shiite, not Sunnis and obviously you havent bothered to keep abreast of Iraqi public opinion which at this point by over 70% want the occupying forces gone. If anyone is believing propaganda and spin, and that coming from a right wing neo-con cabal and their decidely unquestioning right wing corporate media spin machine, tis you, young one. http://www.occupationwatch.org/article.php?id=4474 http://www.iraqpress.org/english.asp?fname=ipenglish\2004-01-08\1.htm http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5217874/site/newsweek/ http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/nationalpolitics/2001915405_poll29.html http://www.notinourname.net/gi-special/2/71.pdf And much of this was already clearly evident prior to the summer as the reports attest. Ongoing rightful Iraqi resistance to the neo-con corporate backed neo-colonialist charade of "liberation" has only intensified since then. Wake up and stop clinging desperately to the lies of a criminal-ridden administration of repeatedly exposed liars.
whatta fuck do you know about the region? Do you even know what rivers flow there and which one is which without using "the google? What do you know about the shiits and the sunnis? What is left? You dont know shit but still you like to comment on things....that's a bad habit
i think i speak for all when i say we're sorry for insulting the iraqian god-like expert. the flaw is...we have access to non-biased media, biatch. i think there's a river that flows there called "your a dumbass". where do you get your information from? education? thats the same as google buddy, but in book form. you probably are a shiit. you have a bad habbit of making yourself look ignorant.
It's good to know that sucking dicks make you post like this ignorant biatch! And the river that flaws there is called "yo mama"
WTF? Im in the air force why would I "joint" the army. I have respect for all military services but the whole, infantry, shoot people thing just isnt for me. I like having air conditioned tents when im in the desert too.
Unseat him they could not even find him like trying to find bin ladden. It took thousands of troops on the ground just to find the little rat in his hole. It took months to find him when we were in his country. Plus we don't know how many look a likes he had on top of that.
If you remember to unseat the leader of Japan we had to drop two atomic Bombs and to unseat Hitler it cost hundreds of thousands of american lives. War is not simple or easy.
Once again the radical Right shows its inability to discern the difference between fighting wars AGAINST expansionist transnational aggression and fighting a war OF expansionist transnational aggression (especially against a weaker effectively disarmed opponent). The WWII analogy is spurious indeed insofar as it is used in a revisionist sense by the Right. If any pertinence to WWII exists, it is WE who are standing in the role of imperialist warmonger and that increasingly on a global and technological scale which Germany and Japan would never have dreamed possible.
