I normally do not post in this section, nor ask for advice online about relationship's as I find them pointless at this age in my life and after several failed ones. But this girl I've been friend's with for awhile likes me, she's hinted about it before and jokingly told me to get a response, now she's not the best looking girl around, not that shes ugly, just alittle overweight. But she has a good personality and shares the same interest as I do. I would ask her out, but I don't want to ruin our friendship, or something over a petty highschool fling. I was thinking about discussing fwb's type of thing with her.. but I'm not sure, what do you guys think I should do? Remain just friends and let her keep liking me, or ask her about just being fwb's?
She has feelings for you, and adding sex to those feelings are likely to make them deeper. You could cut out the middle man and ask her. Just my thoughts.... fwb = friends with benefits
ok well thnx for clearring that up..lol but ok, she likes u..u like her ..i guesssince ya concidered askin her out.. so why not go out?a fwb situation works best when theres no real feelings, just a freind u have fun with.. but since ya seem to havealot more in common & seem kindaclose, why not see what might bethere? u can do that without riskin the freindship, if u go about it right.. i maybe way off here, but, reading between the linesa bit i get the feeling that her weights an issue? shes good enough to be a freind, good enough to have sex with, but, to call her agirlfreind i think your concerned what your freindswould think? kinda shallow isnt it? (not sayin thats the case, just the impression i got)
Nah, her weight isn't really an issue, like I said we get along great and I know from personal experience looks aren't everything. But I've gone out with friends before and it always ends with arguing and not ever being as close. Which is why I mentioned the friends with benefits idea. I'm just not sure what to do.
I think friends with benefits, like someone else already said, will only make her feelings for you stronger, and therefore any problem you have worse if you don't want a relationship, then it seems best to let be though, in my personal experience relationships with friends tend to only end badly when people act ridiculously in the relationship/break up I think it's more of a worry than a risk in many cases
