Did you hear the Monday Night Football broadcast last night? (10/29/07) One of the announcers was singing the praises of Brett Favre, and announcer Tony Kornheiser accused him of developing a "man crush" on Favre.

The booth was awkwardly silent for about ten seconds after that, as the announcers tried to figure out what to say. Then they went back to reporting the game.

"Man crush"? Kornheiser is an awful announcer, but this is too much.

i dont know why but lately i am a bitter guy and i just have to say man two of your first four posts are about boycotting football (which i actually pretty much find ridiculous as well but whatever i think we can probably let it slide for now) and the other of the two i read first roughly began "i really thought it was an excellent book" (and i love reading) but that sounds so programmed im sitting here wondering why you were watching football anyways and why you were expecting anything more than basic thought added to a basic game?

Ive been boycotting american "football" (dumb name btw), i think its the BIGGEST homo erotic thing on tv. Im not trying to bash gays in fact it was a gay guy that pointed out the whole gayness to the game. Why would a bunch of macho manly men watch guys in tight shorts pat each other on the butt and than tackling each other felling each others NADS? Its like wrestling there all homophobic for a reason(they are afraid they ARE gay but yet feel other dudes???). Now real football takes skill not just size to play.

Eliminating american football would be a great "blow" or "hit" for the mainstream. That'll give those jocks a lesson in rejection.

I don't see the point in boycotting MNF just cause he said he has a "man crush".
However, I stopped watching the NFL after the Seahawks were screwed out'a the Super Bore a few years back. For me, the NFL is just all hype. Nothing more.

Closest thing to American football I'll watch, is the CFL.
Other then that, "Football" for me is 'Soccer' (Eredivisie, Bundesliga, Premiership)
