It's not completely legal in amsterdam from what i've heard...there are restrictions on where you can buy/smoke it....
California, Colorado, Maine, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Ohio and Oregon in the United States it's decriminalized (ticketable offence, not arrestable.)

and I believe Westeren Australia is decriminalized too..... I don't think it's really completely legal anywhere though...

I dont beleive by law that its legal anywhere. In amsterdam its legally not legal, its jsut decriminalised in places and police do not hold that law in the coffeeshops.

    thats my understanding at least

It's illegal everywhere even in places like Jamaica, India, Nepal and other countries where it is part of the culture. It is decriminalised in Holland, Switzerland, UK, Spain, Portugal, Italy and parts of Germany. I think I read on here the laws are fairly easy in some parts of Oz and New Zealand aswell.

i dont think its decriminilized in Jamaica. Its just REALLY easy to get and alot of families sell it to make money. becuse its easy to grow and Jamaica is the perfect enviorment to grow it in.... i think they just dont care. and i dont think its Jamaica culture.. BUT Rastafarian cultre its part of there religeion.

In South Australia its decriminalised i think, for small amounts and growing and stuff. Police will bust you here in NSW but they wont go out of their way like they do in America to bust ppl like for resin even and stuff.

It isn't decrimianlized here in the UK, only reclassified. Pre-January '04, cannabis was a Class B drug, but since that sacred day on the 29th of January, it changed to a Class C drug. This means that if you are caught with a small amount (no specific weight, simply based on circumstances) then it will confiscated and you will recieve an informal warning, as apposed to being arrested. Unfortunatley, this only applies to people aged 18 and over. Any minors (that includes me) will be arrested (Now isn't that fucked up?) The 14 year maximum sentance for supply still remains the same however.

I know the situation isn't perfect, but at least it's a step in the right direction...

I heard its legal in amsterdam if u buy it from a bussiness, not on the street, so if u get pulled over by a cop and dont have a receipt, u go to jail.

They don't give out fucking receipts at coffeeshops when you buy weed. What for? So you can write it off on a tax return as a business expense?

No, its illegal all over the world.
Marijuana is prohibited by international (UN) law I believe. The best a country can do is not prosecute people for it. And the best place for that of course is Holland.
