why was this person banned?

 

bans arent allowed to be discussed...its in the rules when you join the forums.
But unless it was a perma ban he will be back in awhile.

 

where does it say "bans aren't allowed to be discussed"? It just says they don't have to be justified... but that doesn't mean it can't be generally discussed. That would be a very non-hippie philosophy, don't ya think?

In fact, I would hope that whoever gets banned at least gets a reason from the moderator who does it. Would be counter-productive not to. Plus, that would risk people being a little too power-hungry with the banning priviledge.

Discussing banning invites complaints and your post implies criticism of how the site is being administered. This is Skip's site to administer as he wishes. Those in charge of keeping things from becoming chaos have their hands full without being expected to justify their every move. If you have a specific question about a guideline it is best to PM a site moderator as opposed to opening a can of worms by publicly questioning what has been done.

Please do not deprive the members here of the privilege of your participation by getting yourself removed as well. Further open discussion/complaints/criticism will result in exactly that.
