I know of a few people who can interpret dreams and make sense of them. Well, I'm wondering if there are any here on this website, because I have a number of dreams where I can't pinpoint the meaning, and would like to find out. Peace and Love, John.
i am one of probably the many on these forums who interpret if you want to find your own interpreting challenge pick up a copy of David C. Lohffs book "Dream cyclopedia" there is over 300 interpretations in there all have different meaning but anyways what are some of your dreams like?
so you read a book to interpret dreams for others,,,, isn't that the book giving interpretations then n not you?
there is a slight problem with interpritation books in that not all symbols are all that universal, and if someone is a really different way of looking at everything, really deep cultural disparity between the dreamer and author of the book, sometimes those 'cookbook' interpretations can be waaaaaaaaay off. i've experienced this myself which is why i say that. there are also cultures in which dream experiencing and interpritation plays a much large roll then in dominant western society, and some of THOSE interpretation elements are way different. carl jung's man and his symbols is perhaps the basic root of dominant western culture dream interpritation. the many many books written since modify it by the experiences of each of their individual author's experiences, but really, more often then most of them give credit for, a specific element will have a specific meaning unique to the dreaming individaul, do to the uniqueness of that persons experiencing and how it has shaded their perceptions. the world we live in has also chainged A LOT since man and his symbols was written. =^^= .../\...
I have this one dream re-occur alot. It is the Apocalypse, and I run to my best friend's house and we gear up with food and all that other stuff. Then we set off to whomever it is that I have feelings for at that time, and in the walk to her house, the world is completely destroyed and people are running, screaming and things of that nature. I finally get to this girl's house, and everything is fuzzy from there, I don't think anything too important happens. The people in my dream vary. I relocate often, so my best friends and the girl who I like at the time also change. But, getting that feeling of walking through the streets while the world is in the midst of ending is really cool and scary all at once. Any thoughts?
seems more to me that you are more the one crumbling instead of the world, different places each time, different people,, you run for the safety n comfort of those around you at any given time n yet it still crumbles,,,.... your strength should come from within,, face whatever is troubling you, having others to "protect" and comfort you is not the answer you are seeking, but yet keep resorting too... ,, what is it in life you dont want to face up to or do on your own ,,, what is it that you are tryin to protect yourself from,,,
i am one, i can listen to a person's dream, tell what it means and send them on there way, but i do have one slight problem. i cant make any sense of what most of my own dreams mean. if you post your dreams ill work up my magic and see what i can do.
