ADVICE! on swollen lymp node back of neck! scared...

Hey guys,

A few weeks back now I found a lump in the back of my neck, the quack said it was a sist but it turns out its a swollen lymph node as i had a ultra sound on it. Now i admit i did take a series of antibiotics (IBILEX 500 four times a day, penicilin drug) its been a day since i have been off them and the lump is still there, no sign of going away =(

Now the quack found two others in the front of my neck when i saw her the first time, i can only feel the one in the back...

I never usually take antibiotics but i am so scared and didnt know what else to do. Someone has mentioned taking COLLODIAL SILVER. What does everyone think? I heard it works so much better than antibiotics and doesnt damage any good bacteria, who has used it before? i would love some feed back as i googled it and it had alot of pros and cons, i am confident in it as i believe in natural therapys but i would like some advice on it!!?!?!?!?

Also these lymph nodes - i have not been sick in a while and i am a young healthy 22 yr old female, i do smoke sometimes and drink on the odd occasion other than that i feel great...Im scared it could be lymphoma? or something more serious as it has not gone down? please help me out with ANY advice you may have...i sometimes have a lil cough but i think that have something to do with having a smoke!?????

I go for blood tests on Monday...

hope ur ok. that sounds serious from a layman's perspective, but just take the advice of your doctors. surely you'll be fine ,but i totally understand the concern.

 

? Layman's perspective, sorry what do you mean? Does it really sound serious? I thought it might be just a small infection of some sort? Hmm it doesnt hurt though and I dont feel sick =/

My boyfriend has the same thing right now (the lumps on the back of the neck), and they think it's mono, which swollen lymph nodes can be a sign of.

That's why i said what i said. You're probably fine. I'm not a doctor. What do i know? I do know you'd feel a lot worse than what u described if you had lymphoma.

mononucleosis- the kissing disease. it's contracted through direct oral contact, and it can take a LONG time to get rid of. Mono is mostly harmless though.

 

hmm well would my fiance have it too then? because we only kiss each other lol..it could be i suppose. Im sure it will show up when i get my blood test done yeha? Im going for it tomorrow, just need that peace of mind!!

Oh okay fair enough well i wont know until i get the blood test, which is on Wednesday now! I have a slight panic disorder to make things a tad worse, so i worry alot. But tonight it feels likes there is a lump or something my throat and its hard to swallow when i try..imnot sure if i am just worried and it just feels like its there but its really not or what!?? im really scared and i think im sendin my self into a panic? do u think i can stop breathing or there really is lump in my throat@!?!?!? someone please help me to feel better its not nice
