hello, I did LSD (1.5 hits of sunshine) for the first time about a month ago with my good friend and roommate. We had a wonderful time until we smoked some marijuana near the end of the trip (probably about 8 or 9 hours into it). I got the feeling that LSD and marijuana were fighting for my attention it really started to take its toll on me. I was EXTREMELY high and physically felt everything i imagined. This was great except for the fact that I wasn't ready for it and I became overwhelmed by it. Anyway the reason that I'm writing is that I still feel like LSD it there, lurking in my conscience. I can still see things moving when i stare at them, especially if i smoke marijuana. These are not just mind tricks, I actually see things moving just like I'm on LSD. Lately i have found myself talking to LSD and trying to reason with it, telling it to stop bothering me, and it responds (not with words but rather it just sort of downloads the thoughts into my head). This is starting to worry me quite a bit, if anyone has any advice please let me know. Trying to talk to it hasn't done me any good, it seems to make matters worse. sorry for the long post but I'm trying to provide all the info i think is important.
pot intencifies the high..especialy towards the end of the trip trails & such can linger on, thats true but talking to the lsd? thats insane your obsessing obver it..creatting every problem by dwelling on it just ignore it, relax..stop worrying perhaps ya just wernt ready to trip but your making it into a huge deal, & its not.. & by talking to it,your only gonnadrive yourself crazy take some multivitimins to replennish what the trip deminnished..& stop thinking about it so much
Sounds like HPPD: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hppd It is best not to consume any drugs for a while because, as you noticed with smoking, it can make the effects more pronounced. You might want to go to the doctor and see what s/he has to say about it.
fuck. sounds like hppd, I have the same problem, ever since the last time I did acid - I smoked way too much weed while I was tripping, by accident. I can't smoke weed - a couple times I actually started to trip instead of just being high. This happened to me almost a year ago. It should go away with time, but smoking weed brings it back and makes it worse. It sucks so much not knowing whether or not I'll ever be able back to normal again, where I can smoke weed and not trip, where I can be 100% "sober", and where I can take a trip and be 100% normal the next day. I'd give anything for that stability again. anyway, I recommend not smoking or tripping for a while, and just try to ignore it - don't think about, forget it...
dont talk to your doctor about it, they're tell you a crock of propaganda about chrommosome damage, and probubly give you worse fretts, the HPPD perma-fry feeds off your obsess over it, as soaring eagle said relax, cool it it aint a big deal, the less you think about it the less things you'll notice, if ya smoke pot and ya dont like what you get from it dont smoke it, ya dont have to, pot can throw off a tripper if he/she is unprepared as it can ramp up the trip as you come down and add some turbulance, marijuana can really fuck with an HPPDer's head, mine's too bad to ignore so I'm on the path of acceptance which has helped me get back better in with the green meds.
My personal belief is that the first time you trip, you never actually come down. I am not saying that is true. That is just what I believe. Anyways that was happening to me for a while but it goes away with time.
only thing i can recomend that nobody else has apart from time, is to perhaps doing alot of exercise. going for long runs thro some nature walks or somwhere bushy everyafternoon. or start doing heaps of weights and push ups. that sort of things. give yourself a few weeks and i can gurantee you'll be feeling alot better. worked for me and alot of others. just depends how bad it is, that it has to be bad enough to get you off your ass to do somthing to help it. exercise will help clear your head and everything.
"This morning when I woke up, I had a long, long, long arms, covered with beautiful fethers! I think I'll never be the same again!" Acid will definitely change you and you will never be the same. All what you are saying is scaring you and you are living through that as a bad thing. Try to find something to enjoy in all of those things that you are noticing. When you manage to do that, you won't be scared of it any more, and you will not pay so much attention to it, and it will disapear. Actually, it won't disapear, but you will not notice it any more. You just unlocked part of your brain that you were not aware that it exist. By having a good perception of it, it won't be an issue any more. So relax, enjoy life as it is, and it will be better!
I just want to thank everyone for the helpful responses. I think you are right and that I am really overthinking it and i should just relax and accept it. Besides, it is kinda cool that i see things move in fun patterns . Im gonna slow down on the ganja for a bit and let myself get used to everything and relax. thanks again happy tripping!
yeah i had the same problem one time when i took way too much 'cid. ummm. im still a little spaced out. the only thing i dont like about it is the fact that ill get fixated on something because its moving, but just realize that worrying about it is pointless. accept it. whats the worst that can happen? drop dead? so what...just love yourself for the way you are. its a beautiful thing when your able to accept that fact. when your able to accept it youll be a way more emotionally stable person.
Glad to see that in the end you came to grips with it. Stay off all drugs in the time being, even prescription ones, and just enjoy life and you'll see that it isn't so bad at all.
I've had HPPD in 2005 when I got glandular fever after doing shrooms a lot. I had it for a few months, because the glandular fever made me extremely tired and tiredness got me the flashbacks. For a few months every blanco colour was a pattern and occasionally it'd even come up and move. It went completely though and never came back. I have the occasional light LSD flashback where something moves when I'm high enough, but I don't get the pattern-flashbacks anymore, even though a trip for me its very very patterny. Flashbacks are nothing to worry about; I learned to enjoy them myself. Also, don't 'talk' to the lsd, its out of your system and its not a person. Its just a chemical that has been in your brain some day. Making it a person sounds a bit insane, so don't get into that.
Yeah it's really no big deal, you have a tiny bit of HPPD. It happens to a lot of people. Just relax and don't obsess over it. Soaringeagle was right when he said you are making it bad by focusing on it. Don't smoke pot for two weeks and you should be as good as new.
maan i took my own advice and went for 2 1 hour long walk/runs. and inbetween lifted weights and did push ups and went for a swim in my pool today. and christ jesus. i feel alot better. however on the second walk i felt like i was trippin on acid. just happens when you exercise some times, or like "runners hi". but i only get it the first week of doing daily runs. i came back into the house and everything looked so strange, and i couldnt act straight in front of the parents. real weird. but oh yeah. now i feel alot better. so i recomend that to everyone.
never thought i'd see perma-high with a sad face after it. i guess the two of us are on quite different trips. i've found lsd to be quite life changing as well though.
you know I dont know what to make of my perma-fry at all, not sure wether it's good or bad or what.... it's definately extremely there though.
WOW. i get that often when i exercise just for a little bit. or when people normally get blood rushes from getting up too fast, my vision gets wicked starry/staticky and i get very disoriented for a good 10 seconds. i thought that was normal for some people, but apparently not :/
i get that extremly disorietated feeling if i get up quickly. everything turns black and you feel like your gonna pass out or fall over. have to grab onto somthing. but turns out its only cause of low blood pressure, which is a good thing. so its all good.
Yeah the getting up and feeling like you might pass out is normal, because of blood pressure. Not sure what "runners high" is really. I'm on the swim team for my high school and exercise a ton and all I get is really, really tired, lol. No high. But maybe that just for running..
