Has any one ever heard of a type of love spell or ritual in which one writes the qualities they wish in a mate on paper and sleeps with it under his or her pillow? I have heard several variations of this and heard of it also working. Anyone else know anything about it?
I haven't heard of this specifically, but it doesn't sound inconsistent with spells I know. Most spells work through sympathetic magic. Another I have seen is writing your name and the other person's name on a paper, folding it, and putting honey in between and lighting a candle to Venus. I have some more complicated ones based on 9th century planetary magic. You need to be good with astrology for that though.
Sounds vaugley familiar; the concept anyway. There's something along those lines in 'wicca for one' (Raymond Buckland), the real witches handbook (Kate West), and probably most other introductory texts on Wicca. Not a whole lot of help, but I was never that interested in love spells anyway. Hope you do find a good one
i've read the book-"earth air fire and water", and there were several spells that involved strengthening love, or help with finding your soulmate, but they involved candles and rose petals. i've never heard of the pillow love spell thingy. guess there is still alot i don't know!
