though I kept them clean, and took really good care of them for the 2.5 months I had them, my scalp just was not compatible. after a couple nights of not being able to sleep because my scalp felt like it was on fire and HUGE chunks of dandruff (almost sheets of dandruff) being caught in my hair, I had to cut. I love dreads but my scalp condition is not compatible with them. sigh. short hair...double sigh.
I've got psoriasis on my scalp, so it's basically like almost constant dandruff, but I've got it with or without locks, so whatever. Dr. Bronners actually helps it, which dandruff shampoos normally didnt. You tried tea trea oil?
aw thats too bad you cut them i heard and read tea tree oil helps getting rid of dandruff heres a site about it http://www.cyh.com/HealthTopics/HealthTopicDetailsKids.aspx?p=335&np=289&id=2354
i get the same thing, but yea bronners tea tree does the trick if its real severe i add a lil bit of rosemary oil like adropper full to the big bottle of bronners (before diluting)
