I want to try acid but i have a couple questions first

ok well i have been really wanting to try acid and i am goign to buy 1 or 2 blotters this friday. but first i want to ask some questions

1. it is my first time trying it and i was thinkign of just taking half a blotter , just to get teh feel of it you know .

2. i have taken shrooms befor only like 1 and a hlf grams tho . how much more intense is a lsd trip then a shroom trip ?

educate yourself as much as possible about the drug you about to take. from now until friday read everything credible that you can find. id take both hits. have fun. be safe.

 

yea i have been reading alot of stuff from erowid and other sites .
the only thing im worried about is having a bad trip like idk i just think of all the bull shit that people say about it and it freaks me out kinda .

 

i used to believe there was no such thing as a bad trip...thats when i had my best trips..then i had a bad one haha.

 

Generally, LSD is stronger in comparison to a shrooms trip. I believe that LSD has more likelihood to induce life altering revelations than the strange visuals you deal with on shrooms.

Not that you don't get any visuals on LSD, but both drugs specialize differently.

 

Dont take half a hit it probably wont do anything. I would take 2 if i were you

 

I did alot of research before I tried acid. I recomend starting with 2 hits. I tried one hit first and got a "feeleing" similar to and yet totally different from shrooms. But 2 hits gives you the real deal. Taking more than Two hits kinda intensifies the experience. But for me it still generally lasts the same amount of time. Somewhere between 8 and 11 hours. Put some good music on. Try to be in a good state of mind before it starts to kick in. And be aware hat it takes like 30 minutes to an hour before you start to feel anything. Take it the first time with other people if possible. Just stay relaxed and enjoy yourself.

 

my first time i was alone in my room, parents asleep, 2 tabs, huge playlist of the best, and a notebook to write/draw anything i wanted. just think of everything you would possibly need. i think its way more spiritual if your first time is alone; of my friends who did it first as a group, they see it more recreationally as they should.

 

so if i took 1 hit how would it effect me like will i still get the good visuals and stuff ?

no you wont see people turn into lizards and shit. You'll probably see the walls/floor ripple, move, breathe that sort of shit and some pictures.

 

Hi, I'm in a similar situation. Recently I've been reading a lot (I mean a lot) about psychedelic drugs and I plan to drop acid soon but there were a couple of things I wanted to find out for sure.

I know how much people stress having a trip sitter for your first time especially but I'd kind of prefer to be alone because I'd much rather not have anyone to interrupt my trip or anything like that around. Also, I wouldn't want anyone around not tripping because I think I might get kind of paranoid about them. So, I don't want to have a bad trip and I realize it'd be safer (depending on the circumstances) but do you think it's really necessary?
My second question is about the quality fluctuation of acid. I've heard that there can be better batches and there can't be better batches of acid. Also, I've heard that it's possible to fit other drugs on hits and it's not. I realize how small of an amount is on the blotter but I've read that it is possible to fit certain drugs on to a hit. And is there a way to tell if what I'm getting is actually acid or is something else?

Oh, one more thing: you guys would suggest taking two hits my first trip? I wasn't sure. I thought about two hits because I want to have a good trip and I don't want to just get visuals and such so you think it's safe to take two hits?

 

You guys should buy 3 hits each. Take one on your planned day and prepare to be underwhelmed. Also realize, however, that you may be overwhelmed from 1 hit. Be with a good, open-minded friend or 2 and just do what comes naturally. The next weekend (at the earliest) do the same, only give your friends some and take 2 each. Giving somebody else a trip, expecting nothing in return, is the best potentiator there is.

 

blotter is generally acid and i mean only acid if its as small as about 1/4th an inch x 1/4th an inch, as it doesn't take milligrams of LSD to make you trip, simple 50ug-250ug, and thats.. SMALL! Safe to take two hits? Definitely, the most two realistic hits *of that size* will give you is 500ug, and thats a safe zone recommended by leary or w/e (from what i remember) as you'll be able to let yourself go easily, and by that I mean the loss of an ego and less fighting.

My first trip? Alone. Four hits of 'okay' stuff. Didnt know much about acid at the time so i let the trip take me in whichever way it had to go. It was relatively shorter though, as i tried to hard to get my ego back (was just lost and confused and tried focusing on my computer). Fun shit though and music was amazing to my ears.

I dont understand how people have bad trps, tho i had one once and it was because i figured the acid was bunk and 3 hours later as im smoking a joint i get hit like a bat to the face unexpectedly.

Yeah insecurities can grow with people you dont know watching you unless you have some chill friends who wont mind watching, but the experiences made alone are incredible, but experiences and chats with 2people tripping are equally incredible in some extent (at least to me), if u guys are both deep and perspective.

i've been doing the same thing as you lately, asking questions and just trying to get info. but lmao i don't know where to get a hold of the drug itself.:nopity::jester:

 

how do you help yourself loose your ego without fighting it?

 

Just sit there and enjoy your trip and don't try to think about how you will basically become brain fucked in about an hour or two (wondering about life incredibly), just accept the fact and try anything you can if you need to keep your mind off it. Have someone funny with you joking around or whatever it takes. After awhile though you can just kind of accept it and not care and just enjoy the trip. Some people never have this problem because they don't absorb themselves in what can go wrong with lsd, which is probably the best thing you could do (in my opinion anyway).

 

I don't think I'm going to trip with my friends. Actually, only one of them is interested in doing acid and shrooms with me but he really doesn't understand these drugs. I think he just wants to do it...to do it, really; I don't think he really has a reason to try it. He doesn't really know anything about psychedelics and he's not a very deep/emotional person and I tried to explain to him why I wanted to trip and he didn't seem interested in that. I think there's a very high chance he would end up having a bad trip. So, I think I'm going to trip alone at home when my parents go away. Sound okay?

Get one friend you trust. Then each of you take one tab. Or get anothe tab and take 1.5, or just take 2 each.

I can tell you one thing for sure. Going into acid with the mindset of 'test the water', is just... not a good one. For any psychadellic really. Just jump right into the pool I say. It's the same water you'll come to know and love. Yes there may be the 'cold shock'. But certainly that subsides quite quickly, no? And nothing is worse than getting through that initial shock, only to discover, there ain't enough there to swim in. If your gonna do it, do atleast one whole tab.

Also I get a hint of 'other people will disturb the trip'? On acid, it's a collective trip. Really, me and my friend had alot of the same exact hallucinations and feelings. You fall into an extremely strong sense of synchronicity with your journeyman. It is not 'there' trip and 'your' trip. But it's a collective journey you both experience the same. And I guarantee you, you will much appreciate having a journeyman the first time. If not for the mere act of having someone else there, but because having someone else there literally opens up new doors collectively. You become one mind, working harmonously and as some might say, telepathically. But you must dose the same and at the same time.
