Posers, assholes, and more posers

Damn... So, on an off chance, I find this website in MAy of 2004, and then my computer craps out(which is why I have so little posts). When I got back, I found the Young hippies forums chock full of people who either:

A: Think they're hippies but in fact are not, and often and repeatedly suceed in doing nothing but embarass themselves to group B,

B: Assholes, in most cases, "punks"... they love starting shit with group A because... they really don't have anything better to do. Plus, they're teenage/very young adult punks. The word Punk is synomanous with Poser. MTV, hot topic, skateboard companys, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, market to Punks. They claim to be all anti establishment, except, they're more corporate than Bill Gates. Enough said.

C: The occasional actual smart, educated, non- idiotic person. These are rare, and very often, under appreciated, and their numbers decrease slowly over time.

So, you're probably wondering, "what the fuck is this guy's point?"

It's this: First, Group B, get the fuck out, and please, never come back.

Second, Group A, find out what being a Hippie really means. Stop posing.

Third, this forum is for Hippies. This Forum is for Hippes. If you don't like hippies, then get the fuck out of the hippie forums, got it?

Fourth, if you are a member of group B, and still insist on posting your crap in here, then at least have the balls to post your adress too, so I, or another member, can easily track you down and insert a crowbar into your ass.

In closing, I really don't have that much against punk. Sure, it is just a fad, sure, Anarchy is a stupid fucking childish idea that only an idiot who couldn't think 5 days into the future would believe in, and sure, Punk music doesn't take much, if any at all, skill to play. The reason I don't like Punks? Because you don't like us.

Oh, and by the way, if you tally up the Hippie movement's contributions and changes to the world, and you tally up the Punk/Anarchy/Poserqueef's/Corporatesellouts contributions and changes to the world, (cough, a fat fucking zero, cough), The Hippies come out on top.

Oh, whats that, Poser Punk? You say the Hippies "fad" died in the 60's? Apparently you didn't hear. Real Punk, the none poser version, has been wearing a toe tag since the 80's.

Easy, tiger. Sounds like you wanna fill these forums with like-minded people. How would we learn anything if we all thought the same thing... if we kept spitting out the same ideas? Sounds pretty boring, redundant. Embrace the diversity. All information is valuable. These 'punks' only use words: if you don't like 'em, ignore them, laugh at 'em, whatever, just learn from them and move on. Complaining is useless, but honest disagreement is a sign of progress.

This is true, and I apoligize, I was kind of angry at the time. However, I think we can all agree that there are a couple of people on these forums who wish to do nothing but encourage fights, resentment, and break apart the community.

As for Punk being easy to play.... I play Bass, and I have yet to stumble upon a bass chord that a child could not master. Perhaps I should have said, "All Bass tabns of Punk Rock Suck!"

 

I just dislike the whole Anarchy thing, ive got nothing against their views, i just think it is dumb...

I also don't like some "punks" namley the ones in my school where they all dress the exact same and dress like others and wear "punk" brand clothing and say they are not comforming....

About what the first poster said, ya, the true, real punk fad may have died in the 80's by why can't the spirit live on in those who beleive in it.

Me? I'm myself... I've never cared about groups or what anyone else does with their lives... I believe Keb Mo put it best when he said that all you need is yourself. Then the beatles said all you need is love so that leaves me at a bit of a dilemma, nevertheless, it's all fine to me. As long as you know who you are. Sometimes you lose track.
