Hey guys i got busted about a month ago and im trying to convince my parents that weed isnt bad. The health aspect is easy to find stuff on but they seem to think that a lot of pot out there is laced with other drugs. Im just wondering if there are any studies into the amount of laced stuff out there or something along thoses lines. Thanks
laced weed is most generally accepted as more of an urban legend. when people get all whacked out on weed, it's typically because they smoke too much. think of it this way, if you're a dealer, why would you lace cheap weed with some other really expensive drug? it would cost whoever is doing the lacing a ton a money to do that, only to get a few bucks back in the weed itself. would you spread 50$ worth of coke on a 1/8th of bud, only to sell the 1/8th for maybe dank prices instead of mids? it just doesn't make sense. and secondly, who would ever go back to a dealer they bought laced weed from? the dealer would be out of business in no time. so for all intents and purposes, laced weed really is not a legit thread. it just isn't anywhere near cost affective for anyone along the food chain of weed dealing to do it...
Unless its laced so the person who smokes it (albeit it theyd have to be a bit thick in the head) thinks its just amazing shit and goes back for more.
A buddy and me were going down the highway once and saw some people rolling joints in the back of a car. Well he was somehow able to convince them to sell us one (for just $2!). So we get it and fire it up. After about smoking about half of it, I started seeing shit--everything looked purple and orange and not very clear. It didn't take me long to figure out that I shouldn't be driving like this, so we pulled over and I had to sit in a field for a while until things seemed normal. For the rest of the ride home, I was wasn't high, but more like a deep low. I never had that experience before that or after that. Someone told me that it sounded like it was laced with some PCP.
ok so say that happens...you go back for more telling the dealer the last batch was awesome. now the dealer is up shit creek: he lost money on the last deal because he spent more money to lace the weed than what he could sell it for. the only way to remedy the situation is to either (a) lace more weed and lose more money, or (b) sell you shitty weed for an inflated price. either way, the dealer loses out becuase even with (b), you're less likely to go back to him since that batch sucked balls and you overpaid. it's simple economics really. the entire business of drug transactions is to make money. lacing weed doesn't make anyone any money. it may happen once in a while because somebody maybe gets a kick out of fucking someone up, but it won't be a regular thing because that little excitement they just got cost them a good bit of money.
laced weed exists. its true that mostly people wont sell it as regular weed cuz they would lose money. but that doesn't mean lased weed doesn't exist. i know of a lot of dealers that sell weed lased with coke/crack and weed laced with PCP. its quite common in urban areas. and yes it costs more. i also know of several people who only smoke weed laced with coke/crack and they know what they are smoking. they know its laced. dealers that sell laced weed will tell you if its laced or not.
I once put salvia in a pipe then packed a little bit of bud on top and then gave my friend the first toke without telling him. right after he took the toke I told him it had crack in it and he freaked out. But I told him the truth after aand we laughed and finished our session.
That is a huge propaganda anti-drug thing that goes around. In health class they tell you bullshit! They even have drug assemblies saying that marijuana is bad, it has other drugs in it, the THC levels are very high and it makes you want to do other drugs. I just noticed that people associate crime with weed, but some of us are just chill pot smokers. Like why do the police have to bother kids in a small town?
laced weed is out there...I know of two people that have got it...one said she knew it was laced with coke, the other didn't know and she almost died....she had to be rushed to the hospital and has been on prescription drugs for the past 8 years because of it, no idea what was in that stuff....other than that i havnt heard much more about laced weed....i agree with Colimon, a lot of it is just to scare people into not doing it...it works, thats the only reason my sister wont do it, shes afraid of getting something laced...my mom always use to and still does tell us once in a while to stay away from pot because "too much of it is laced and you cant always know what you're buying"...but i think ill take the risk

Laced weed is drug war bullshit propaganda. There is nothing that you can put on wed that will make shit weed seem better then it is that doesen't cost more then weed. PCP,Coke and whatever else are not cheap. The amount of dust or base needed to affect you would be extreamly visable to you, and would cost as much if not more then the weed it was laceing. When I was growing up you could bags laced with dust, but they cost extra. That said I have seen people do all kinds of shit to beasters to bulk it up, especaly in the last few years.
Okay... the best and nearly fool proof way to not smoke laced pot. Don't buy from some random people on the side of the highway. Make some friends that smoke weed. If they're into laced shit and you arn't. Either tell them you don't want to, and just want weed. Or just stop hanging out with them entirely. If you meet their dealers and start buying off of them, they're not gonna lace weed and then sell it to you. Guess what... dealers like money and business. If they lace your shit, you're not gonna come back... You're not gonna suggest them to your friends. I've been smoking weed on and off for nearly 5 years now... Never came across anything laced.
The common argument, to saying that lacing weed is not practical cost wise, is that the dealer laces the weed so you will come back and buy more. Again not true, but its what allot of people will tell you.
