Yes, its like taking a telescope to yourself and the world. You might see something you dont like, start thinking differently. If your worried about it dont do it, but its really nothing to worry about unless you over-do it.
It's metaphorically like stepping through a door, closing it and seeing the door disappear, never to re-appear.It can be for the worst if your mind is cluttered with bad or unsolved issues or if set and setting are wrong or threatening. It,however, can be freeing and enlightening and allow you to "see" instead of just looking at--well--everything.
it's like the universe telling you, metaphorically, that you've got food stuck in your teeth. and it doesn't just say, "hey man, you've got a little something right there... yeah.. there, you got it". it sings it, it dances it, you realize that all of reality is shouting it at you. and it's a good thing. it's beautiful and fun. and there's no reason to be embarassed. laugh at it. it happens. pick it out. now you're a more consciously self-created person than you were thirty seconds ago. it usually won't change you for the worse, although it might help you see that the concept of "worse" is completely malleable. usually the changes will be positive from your perspective, and most of the time from most other people's too. but you can never please everyone.
hahaha what a perfect metaphor. I like it even more because of my obsession with flossing while tripping As for the original post... LSD is really a simple drug in my opinion. It simply magnifies your perceptions of everything and reveals to some users (but not all) the powers of their own minds. You can take it in a positive direction or a negative one. It could "change you forever" negatively if you were to be spiraled into depression after realizing that certain habits of yours have been destructive and bad for you and your loved ones. You could become very paranoid of people close to you who have wronged you in the past and decide that you need to remove them from your lives. Things like that. Basically, any possible perceptual change is possible on LSD. So, any way that your perceptions about reality (your past, your present, your future... family, friends, goals, successes, failures, death, birth) could change for the positive or the negative is possible on LSD. Kind of freaky huh? But it's ok. Just be aware that it's all a change in perception, and you will be able to deal with your new perceptions, keep the ones that will help you as a person, and move forward with a more aware, opened mind (keep in mind that this last step - keeping in mind that it's just a perception and learning how to productively deal with your new insights - is much, much easier said than done!)
I think anyone who has tried and really felt lsd will know that it does change your perception, but i don't believe it could change it for the worst...i think that it can be difficult in the beggining, to really understand what it is telling you, but no matter what happens i think you will one day realize that any change it has made is positive...it does change the way you see other people and creatures, but it mostly changes the way you see yourself, and that is in a much more possitive way, you finally recognize your blessings more than your weeknesses, at first there may be paranoia or deppression but thats only because so much is happening that you may get confused, once you come to terms with it, and accept it, you will only see that it has given you a greater understanding of everything beautiful around you, because everything is beautiful, anything ugly that you see is an illusion and unless you keep abusing the drug to try and find more, all the negativity will pass...i don't think anybody here can tell you that lsd made them a negative person, i may be wrong but so far it has only shown people how much more important love is than hate. If you think otherwise, please speak up because i will be so happy to help! And trust me, those people can be helped!
