When growing indoors, Do you need the light on 24/7?

I'ma total noob at growing, so don't be too harsh on my maybe obvious question, I just wanna grow the best buds

 

No! When you grow indoors you don´t have to give your plants 24 hours of light everyday.

When growing your plants in the vegetative stage give them 18-24 hours of light everyday. now when you thing your plants a high enough (normaly after 3-4 weeks) you switch to give 12 hours of light and 12 hours of total dark this will trigger the plants to flower and is called the flowering stage.

during the flower stage your plants will grow to dubble and maby tripple size!
so it is up to you to decide when to go from vegetative stage to the flowering stage;-)
