i get to register for classes at 3pm today. i just wanted to post this cuz i'm excited. though i know when i go to register most classes i want won't be there. but i'm too scared to look now, so i'll either be relieved or disappointed after 3pm. do you get this excited when it's time to register?
Yes. I get to register on Monday, and I can't fucken wait. I was like 3 credit hours or some shit like that away from registering last Monday too, pissed me off. I already have my schedule all ready. Monday a minute after midnight... I shall go and conquer. I really do hope that there's space in all of my classes, I'm taking lots of upper level English classes, so hopefully there will be space.
I get really excited. We have 3 enrollment periods that are alloted at random which is really annoying because two classes I NEED for my major (and I wanted to finish my major courses before I go abroad last year) filled. For one of the classes, I just got in a less desired section. The other has a waitlist larger than the actual class. So now I have 2 majors where I'm one class away from completing, 1 major that I still need a few courses for, and about 5 unfinished potential minors. It makes signing up for classes sort of exciting and a minefield rolled in one.
glad i'm not the only one to get so excited i registered at 3pm today. i got really all that i needed. 2 writing courses for my major. religion course for my minor (which may soon be my 2nd major). a philosophy course so i can take epistemology or metaphysics next year. sad though, i didn't get into a buddhism seminar, though i just got through talking to the prof. about the course yesterday, so i'll just send him an email. i also needed an art class for my major, but art classes always fill up like crazy. either way, next sem. will be s'awesome
Sometimes you can appeal and override and still get in a class. People often drop a course the first week of class. .
yeah, i normally look forward to that first week. though that first week didn't work out for me at the beginning of this semester. i can easily get into that buddhism class.
So what are you guys taking? Or hoping to take? I'm taking Politics and the Novel (Pol theory requirement without having to take pol theory? excellent!), modern history of Latin America, modern Hispanic literature and film, global economy, and advanced Spanish composition. I might decide to take a 6th class in social movements in Latin America or (if the class opens up) medicine, body, and culture.
intermediate fiction, some special topics class which amounts to being another fiction class, history of christianity 1, philosophical thinking and prehistoric life (basic study)
