    http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com - the source of this must-see
full length movie. It casts a strong, harsh light on religion, 9/11
coverups and George Bush. I checked into it's assertions - it is
dead on right. 2 hours - some of it is boring, some of it is shocking,
but you just should not miss watching this movie. Don't believe your TV!

yeah, i watched that like a week ago.. its really interesting.

glad i was never religious in the first place. i've always thought about it to be a waste of time myself.. lol - but i dont tell people that. cause then they get all defensive and offended.

i heard something about Bush being involved with that shit...

    they're evil. man. evil...

I enjoyed it too, although i know for a fact lots of their info about the ancient Gods is WRONG. That makes me question some of the other stuff too, although astrologically, surprisingly, they were closer to the truth than most people get, even if there were a few minor faults

The 9/11 stuff was good and well explained. But i really do believe Jesus did exist, even though he was just a wise guy and not a magical mystery man from the bearded one in the clouds

yeah the movie was done very well but it "fills in" a lot of gaps with very incorrect information. Almost the ENTIRE beginning about religion is bullshit.. some examples:
Horus was NOT the sun god at all, Ra was. Horus was at times worshpied concurrently with the sun but he was NEVER the sun god. He was the god of the sky... you know, which is why his head is a falcon.

Moreover, only westernized christianity celebrate christmas on Decemeber 25th, the fabricated day of Jesus' birth. The orthodox eastern churches celebrate it based on the old calendar which puts the date on varrying dates usually around January.

Aside from the fact that the ancient egyptians never crucified people, that was an almost exclusive Roman practice... and that there was no december 25th since that calendar was NOT in use by those very early religions.

So yeah... a lot of the movie is kind of bullshit, though not all the points that its driving at are. I would advise anyone who "loved" this movie to do their own research and connect their own dots instead of letting this do it for you.

As a general rule you should distrust anything that claims "everyone is lying to you" for the obvious reason of the logical paradox it brings up... (and what does that mean YOU'LL be doing to me?)

Precisely, i was really shocked to hear some of the claims about Horus, claims of crucifiction and being born on 25th December...which id never heard anywhere else and havent heard since...infact id heard, as you said, that crucifiction was mostly a Roman thing. Also as you say Horus was God of the sky, not the Sun...

Youre totally right about Jesus birthday too and i found that such an elimentary and blatant mistake to have made...infact part of their POINT was that Jesus was linked to the fish in so many ways..One of these ways, in truth, was that he was a sun sign pisces. Therefore born late feb/early March, not December

As i said though, the 9/11 stuff was of interest...after so much religious misinformation i question the validity of the claims, but its something to look into further

It's amazing how much people aren't taught in school. Of course if they learned that the banks, religions, and governments seek to control them as slaves, than everyone would revolt. And they don't want a slave uprising

the gregorian calender didn't come into play that early, the people who made this are trying to get morons to believe their dross...

of course, the problem is, there are morons who will believe all their dross, and will accept it as fact, pass it on to other morons, propagate it, and, well, yeah, ignorance ftl

lets further go on to note, that the clarifications, and sourcing pages, are jokes

anyone who tried to turn this in as any kind of research, to any kind of serious reasonably headed human being? would LAUGH THEM OUT OF THE ROOM

    http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/clarifications.htm
    http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/sources.htm

he sourced books that were opinion essays as fact, and didn't themselves have bibliographies they could be proud of

if you think this movie is anything bu shit, please, go rent a good documentary, and stop wasting the time of others with your, clearly uninformed, worthless opinions.

^ werd. Like I said before (I think) anything that says "everyone else is lying to you" is probably full of shit. Believing this blindly is no better than believing all the propaganda shit! Common sense is all you need.

Hmm...I am Greek Orthodox mysel and I celebrate Christmas on January 7th each year. And yeah now that you bring it up, I do recall the stories my grampa told me about the egyption sun God; Amon Ra.

I have seen this movie though and must say that I thoroughly agree with most of the points they made in it, especially about economical trends and the 9/11 conspiracy.

Christmas is celebrated the same day every year (either the 25th of Dec or the 7th of Jan). Easter and othe related feasts are moveable...

^ not necessarily, Armenian Apostolic Churches celebrate it on the 6th of January. But you are correct in that the church doesn't move it (christmas) once they decide which date.
