Ok We will be staying near Dam Square. After we get checked in the hotel I want to get to a good Head Shop to get some gear. I will of course be wanting a pipe, screens, several lighters, a grinder, and some pre-rolled cones and maybe a few other things. I am a terrible roller and last time when I saw how much the Dutch take pride in rolling and how well they can it made me feel like I didn;t have a clue. Anyway I need a good recommendation where I can find what I need to get my trip off to a good start ?
You can find what you need anywhere in Amsterdam, but my favorite is a place called Number One, at Oude Hoogstraat 4. Depending on what day and time you arrive, you may have to settle for whatever is open until you can find a better shop. I bring my own screens.
Won't be a problem and I can surely adapt until I get to a good Head Shop. Thanks for the tip on Number One, is it near any coffeshops? I use a coffeeshop map a lot to get where I am going. I will even settle for a pre-roll pure joint if I have to or maybe ask the dealer to roll one if the situation is right. How are the pre-rolled cones ? I have seen them , but never used one. I hear they are okay for those of us that are all thumbs. Fuuny last time we went was watching a Dutch guy take about 10 minutes to roll a cone shaped J, I had never seen anyone take that much care in rolling one. I will say I was impressed as it was very cool.
I've never used a cone either...yet. I'm an idiot who retro-fits a tip into one 'normally' rolled. No desire to sit there for 10-15 minutes, expertly crafting a conical number I'm just going to blaze down. A nicely done hybrid doob seems to serve me well. You're never very far away from a CS in AMS, so yes, Number One is close to a CS. Notably, The Green House Centrum at OZ Voorburgwal 191, only about a block away towards the Dam. Enjoy your visit to the NL.
from dam square just walk east along damstraat and you will pass several headshops including The Old Man that Skip just mentioned. I've found cheap pipes in a couple of shops on Haarlemerstraat close to Picasso Coffeeshop also.
