...will... hit you back, someday? Or, I don't know how to phrase it... that it will turn against you? For example: you're an asshole to someone and later in life, someone will be an asshole to you? Or more precise things, like... you steal, you get stolen... etc.? Karma... in other words? Cause that would be karma right?

karma is real, ive had experience it before, and seen others experience it, thats why you gotta watch the things you do to others because the universe will punish you if you do wrong, and possibly reward you for doing good, but i do good not expecting good in return, its just how my family raised me

Yes I do. We surround ourselves with people that will agree with us, no? Perhaps not on everything; however as individuals we tend to group with those whose thoughts most closely resemble our own. You reap what you so because of natural grouping instincts. While most of those who do share your thoughts on actions like stealing, and other wrongful actions, will not treat you in a wrongful manner, the more people you add to the mix the higher your chances of it happening.

Not to mention when your mind is focused on wronful actions you are less aware of your surroundings and the consequences of your decisions. You are more proned to making mistakes, as well as poor decisions.

We bring our own karma upon ourselves in more than one way.

    I don't buy karma.

Clearly the things you do have consequences. But I don't really think the universe balances itself out in everyones life.

That's why I think it's more important that everyone try and balance the universe themselves. If you always do what you feel is right, then you will find your own justice, and you will spread it through your actions to the rest of the world.

Yes, I believe in Karma. Though we cannot physically measure it, I believe it's distributed equally...and it's not just the bad things but the good things too

I think I believe in it too, from my own experience and watching other people's life... shit I did to other people happened to me too, I suffered like they did, for the same reasons... and unfortunately so far all the good I've done wasn't returned to me but I like to think it will, someday...

also: I wonder whether the shit I did to people in the first place wasn't something they got cause they deserved it too... when you think about it... maybe it was THEIR karma punishing them... eh the universe is weird... but... if you understand it I think you can live a happier life.

I just believe in what I see. I see shit happened to me same as shit I created... I saw it happening to other people... and also see positive people's life better and I just had to conclude karma has to exist. Unless it's all luck... but I don't believe in luck, I believe everything happens for a reason.

At least I don't believe in stuff stupidly just *because*... I have reasons...

I mean it's true some assholes never get what they "deserve" - they die and no one hurt them... could think it's unfair... but... maybe those assholes will have a shitty next life. I don't know if I believe in reincarnation, I'm an agnostic... but... it's possible...

I've know real assholes though, real cunts, who have a shitty life and are very unhappy inside and you know what? I think that's what they deserve... I don't believe in revenge, the universe takes care of it, obviously, at least, from what I've seen...

There's a phrase... a buddhist phrase, I think? I don't know... it says something like: "if you've been hurt by someone... nevermind and go on with your life, and calmly wait and see one day you'll see their dead body float on the river" - OK it's horrible, but it doesn't mean wish someone dies or anything like that... just that... if you've been hurt by someone truly mean... life will get back at them, someday, one way or another, and just don't worry about them, ignore them, don't revenge...

I think that's a great way too look at things.

I think if you treat people nicely they'll treat you nicely in return... unless they're complete assholes, but then... I think one day they'll meet an asshole even bigger than them, and get... bitch slapped by life, as someone said...

A lot of assholes don't get what they have coming. And a lot of bad things happen to good people. But in my experience it's better to forgive someone for your own peace of mind.

Some people don't get it how... I don't seek revenge... if someone was horrible to me... how I don't try and fuck-up their life. Because I know it doesn't have to be me, or a person who does it. Why.. soak in negativity? Then it's a circle... you're mean... I'm mean... so you're mean again... and so on and so forth... I think the person who makes the smart move of ignoring, forgetting (maybe not forgiving, ok) will have the happier life. The one who never stops hating will never find true happiness... or fullfillment, they will keep getting blows from life, from the blows they give... even how they THINK, I think, will affect their life... if they're negative, dramatic... their life will be just like it, all the time. I don't pretend to be a know-it-all but I've SEEN this shit... ever since I was a kid, I only realize it now...

    And if there isn't?

In my opinion, everything you've said is still true.

"The one who never stops hating will never find true happiness... or fullfillment, they will keep getting blows from life"

Still true. What I said is also still true. If there is no reward for righteous actions, then you should make doing what you feel is right it's own reward.

Just my opinion. But I don't believe in karma, I think a lot of things happen without a plan, and I think in either case, 'tis better to do what you thinks right.

oh yeah! I mean you're right, and I'd never act good only to get a reward, for instance... it's true you should be fullfilled by your own actions not by what they're gonna bring you... not see them as pointless if life hasn't rewarded you...

but I don't know if I believe that things happen without a "plan"... like... for no reason, just because... I guess that would make me believe in fate? but I'll contradict myself by saying that I think we're the masters of our lives... maybe there's something planned... but we're get to it the way we want to. I dunno, I'm just thinking here, not really knowing (but can anyone really know, anyway?)
