I don't think he was quoting Star Trek. I can't remember any part of the original TV series or films where they extended a docking port (I'm not well at the moment though, so I may be overlooking a part). Either way, I think the only time they'd extend any sort of docking port is in a shipyard, since they usually just beamed over. Has anyone else noticed they used the transporter system for everything in the original series, then started limiting its use in the next few series? They always had starships dock on Deep Space 9. Hell, they even set some fancy landing system up on Voyager.
Peace-Phoenix Yes it was a lame attempt at inuendo, at surrender to your supperior wit. Power 13 Yep DS9 was the only Star Trek with docking ports or clamps mentioned that I can remember. But I think you do see what you could call Docking Ports in several episodes of Next Gen when the Enterprise is in a Star Base.
