i think im addicted to sugar....i always crave sugary foods and if i have them i eat them until im sick...like, we had a package of chips ahoy cookies yesterday night, and they've been gone since this morning....and i ate half a jar of peanut butter too....i'm terrible. i think i need to quit sugar for awhile, starting now. artificial sugar too. ahh, this is gonna suck.
If you eat something sweet, at least make sure it is not artificial. Definitely try and space out your sweets between foods that will give your body more nutrients to become a healthy young woman. I have a sweet tooth, so sometimes when I crave a sweeet treat, Ill have orange juice. It works well
my only problem with moderation is that if i start, i simply can't stop. it becomes a horrible all-out uncontrolled binge. so i figure i'll just try to cut it out completely, all at once. thats what i did with meat when i first went vegan, and it really helped. ....of course, i was never so passionately in love with meat, lol.
The food industry in the U.S. is loading up everything from fruit juice to spaghetti sauce with high fructose corn syrup. Walmart is going to need higher horsepower buggies in the future. .
i stopped drinking soft drinks but i still drink juice. ive tried weaning myself off sugar and junk food but i found going cold turkey doesnt work and if you just eat a little less and make it more of an every now and then thing it's easier. after a while of not eating that stuff i bought a packet of chips cos i was really craving and i couldnt believe how disgustingly salty and artifical they were... i had to stop eating them to see it
I know people who were eating so much pop and chips that they were having fainting spells. Their health improved greatly after they quit eating that stuff. .
i went through a three day agony of headaches and shakes getting myself off refined sugar. anything that can cause that much pain and that degree of compulsion HAS TO BE an addictive substance. i haven't gone back. now i don't really even like sweets, and it's APPALLING how many foods contain added sugar. things that are supposed to be savory end up tasting so SWEET to me now because i don't eat sugar. i just have to make my own foods now.
ahh i messed it up, i was at some function for a club my sister is in and they had apple cobbler and reeses cookies. im so weak...grr.
