Wow! do you have curly hair naturally?

 

nope. my hair has always been very strait... though it is fairly damaged from lots of bleaching and dying...

 

those are coming along so nicely, madi. i like the comparison pics cause you can really see the progress in terms of knottiness. they're maturing into beautiful dreads!

 

wow they are really nice, they fattened up a lot! did you lose much during the shrinkage?

most of my dreads are 12 or 13 inches long now... a few are only 6... when i started them, some were about 15 inches, so I've probably lost 5 or 6 inches... considering hair growth or probably 3 inches or so. i also have most likely lost a few inches from the length my hair was before dreading.

and wow. 10.5 months, I feel like I remember that we started our dreads on like the same day so mine must be that old too. wow. almost at a year!

Wasting the Dawn, I do believe we started around the same time it is crazy how fast this last year has went... it was a year ago that i actually decided that i definitely going to start my dreads... but it was more than a month after that that my boyfriend was actually able to get the time to help me backcomb.
