so i've been getting into abstract rap recently. and by getting into i mean i've just started and by just started i mean i've downloaded a couple of albums.

the first album is by this group cLOUDDEAD whom some other rapper describes as "smartarse surrealism" (obviously they're british). so i checked them out. pretty interesting stuff.

same with the abstract, free-associative hip-hop. i downloaded a busdriver album. very interesting lyric and rhythm-wise.

both of these albums are both quite brilliant and amazing, however they are just a little out of my complete grasp. though i advise checking them out, just for the sake of seeing where things are going.

Busdriver is sick, Aesop rock i think is pretty cool.. I think where its really at in the underground funky hip hop is many of the artists on "Stone's Throw Records"

Particularly the Madlib Invasion, Madlib is one the hardest working musician/producers of our time, contributing on 30 albums a year or so. Check out his beat Cd's such good stoner music, chillin and funky and gangsta.

Madvillian, Jaylib, Quasimoto, Lootpack. All feature Madlib

    Similarly, and perhaps, even better

If Space Mountain were real, I think this might be the soundtrack!
