hey i was wondering i've got some anti-anxiety pills that a friend gave to me, they produce a completely relaxed feeling and nothing bothers you and was wondering if i took these and then dropped some acid if it would reduce the chance of a bad trip or whatever. have any of you done anything like this before? would you recommend it advise against it? would it even work? peace
i sometimes take klonopins when i'm coming down so i don't feel so edgy, but i'd imagine taking them would help with a bad trip.
Anti Anxiety? It would help it we knew what kind of pills you have, but if your referring to something like xanax or valium, benzo's are well known for slowing down and in high enough doses making a trip stop all together. I would say take it during the comedown if you dont like the energy (I dont know who wouldnt because thats my favorite part of acid, watching the sun rise in bliss ) or if you start having an uncomfortable trip that you cant handle then take some. But unless you want to weaken the effect of LSD I would advise not to take them.
honestly - if you are that afraid of a bad trip you should probably just not trip! i was tripping with some guy from work. he was so gung ho about tripping big and took 4 hits of very strong stuff after only one trip before on one hit. i warned him but he was too excited. the first couple hours of the trip he was fine until i started talking about fate and predetermined destiny then he started to freak out a lot. i had him thinking that nothing was in his control and he started to lose it. i suggested he have a beer. five beers later he was doing fine - passed out on the floor on 4 hits of acid. i only took two hits and i was wide awake for another 6 hours. what i am getting at is - sure it might work for you - if it doesnt you can always drink yourself to sleep.
